I went to the dentist yesterday and he mentioned that I had a slight case of "nicotine palate". He said it should go away soon now that I've quit the smokes. Has anyone else heard of this?

If by "nicotine palate" you mean that you have taste bud issues (i.e. can't taste things, things taste weird, etc), it's a very common thing.

If you mean something else, can you explain a bit more?

He's probably referring to the yellowing and swelling of your taste buds on your tongue. When you use analog's, this happens and it stays that way for quite awhile after you quit.

Yeah, that does last a while. I'm still waiting for that to ease up. (But I can smell and taste again, which is a plus.)

Yep, back in the day, when I was known to occasionally drink more than Prudence would dictate (Prudence was my g/f).
It's been many years though.
