I smoked for just over 15 years and in 2011 I picked up some no-name analog ecig and it changed my life. Since then i built box mods, tried egos, then a silver bullet, omega, an evic, and now a mechanical APV with an rba. Along the way I have converted 4 heavy smokers and about a dozen social smokers. I used to LOVE smoking and all my friends knew it. Anything that could get me to stop smoking, they were interested in hearing about. It feels good to not only pick up a cool hobby, but one you can help yourself and other people with. :)

i first saw the whole e-cig thing a couple years back, wanted to give it a try, but it was just too expensive. the cheap little throw aways started showing up in the local gas stations and it got me into thinking about it again.
i finally decided to give it a shot a few months back. dropped $40 on a kit as well as a few flavors and figured i'd "risk it" with only 2 packs of smokes and the new e-cig. (risked it due to there was no way to be able to afford smokes after dropping the $40 on the kit and not having the cash for more smokes for 2 weeks)
within 2 days of me buying that first kit,
3 out of my 4 kids bought kits, my ex (babys momma) her husband (he's a cigar smoker), and one of my kids friends all bought kits. within a week of that, my ex's husbands sister bought a kit. a month (or so) later my oldest and her husband moved back to town and both bought a kit within a week.

tl;dr
6 people within days of me buying a kit and 2 more within 6 - 8 weeks after that.

oh, and at least 2 or 3 more that are interested in giving it a shot, just not to sure about dropping about a cartons worth of cash on it. lol

A co-worker got me interested in the standard eCig. I think he had the DSE901. So I bought a Blu starter kit and within 3-weeks I kicked it to the curb; battery life sucked, cartomizer consistency sucked and damned expensive too. I picked up an eGo-T batt and a Vision Victory tank. After a few days of him seeing me exhaling clouds of vapor, he went and bought something very similar to what I've got. So it was me that got converted.

Four already in just two months. They have come to me asking questions, and since I'm pretty enthusiastic about vaping, it has been an easy sell. I hate selling things in general but with things I believe in, it's not a problem. I'm not into turning people like it was religion either, what people do is their own business and I'm fine with people staying on the analogs. If I can help anyone thinking about quitting though, I'm glad to do it.

One guy at work was a two and a half a day Reds smoker, he's been off the analogs for 40+ days now. Awesome.

I stop by a local vape shop because of bad traffic on the highway, went in and talked and bought.vaped on the way home and never looked back.15 weeks tomorrow.Since then I bought a small bulk of ecigs, selling them way cheaper than I should, and I mean cheaper than than a cost of a battery!I have been so amazed by stop smoking because of vaping I decided to sell just short of my cost because I want people to experience what I done in one day compared to the 38 years of smoking 2 pacs aday!Ive done all the medical drugs there were to stop smoking, everything chewables and gums etc. bottom line for this thread Ive got more than 11 people to change so far,in the last 3 months! its freaking great!!

Only thing is, it's misleadingly expensive because the amount of cheap purchases you can make - then suddenly, bam, you're down 100 smackeroons!

Lol

$100

That would have been nice... My first kit and 2 bottles of juice was more than that....

Then I wasted all sorts of money on eGos and vv devices and crap cartos and tanks...

Wasn't until I went mechanical with RBAs that I started saving money.

Five and counting. The fourth person converted his wife so I'm taking credit for that one as well!!!! lol

Seriously though, they are both excited to make the transition so I'm just glad I could help. :thumb:

heh, yea the pricing can be mis-leading, but extremely worth it.
I just recently dropped about $150 on an eVic, the cartomizer(?) the place I bought it from called it the "Artemis" so not sure if that was the actual name for it, as well as a "special tip". Metal, color matched the cartomizer and "fit" the look of the eVic.
So while its pricing was a bit much in comparison, I look at it like this. (this is since I started vaping)
I spend about $20 every 2 weeks for the fluids.
As of last weekend, (last payday) I've spent,
$40.........eGo twist kit
$3...........laynyard attachment for twist
$120........fluids (all purchased since original kit purchase)
$8...........back-up battery for kit
$100.......eVic
$15........cartomizer for eVic
$8.........."special tip" (smoked chrome, skull wearing a top hat) LoL
$6..........new laynyard for eVic
$300 (give or take $10)

What I would have spent on analogs? $250 to date (again, give or take $10 - $20)
But now, with this eVic, my monthly output for this, will be about $40 (liquid refills), analogs, would have cost me double, if not triple that.
So given that, within 2 to 4 weeks, I will have broken even and then start on the savings over analogs!

sorry for the long post... just hadta... lol
