This story is actually pretty fun sounding to me. Yea I get not liking losing your gear. But you get to get more. :) My hubby is a nonsmoker (never smoked) so he could give a flip about my vaping stuff other than he's happy I'm not smoking. I kinda think it would be fun to have a partner to vape with.

The part about the whining cuz he can't get it working right & waiting for me to do it would be annoying lol.

But I'm happy for you both that he's liking your equipment enough to stick with it with you. .....maybe you should have bought 2 MVPs in case he decides to commandeer one. :)

Eh, I guess I'm glad he's finding stuff that works for him? Maybe that's the point. Wait for me to do the research, find the best price for the best thing and wait for mine to come in. Then, try it, like it, steal it, and wait for my next purchase. I don't think he wants me buying double of things now that I think about it. He'd be ...... about spending double the money on something we don't like and won't use. I'm new to this too, and there will be purchases that will not be popular I'm sure.

I didn't think I'd like my MVP either, but I now own 2 for myself and DH owns his own, thank goodness! I love them both!

I also have 3 VV 3.0's but DH has commandeered one of them also. DH has an MVP, VV 3.0, SVD, a Segeli mod. I've created a monster who stopped smoking 7 years ago and 4 months ago only smoked an occasional cigar...

I on the other hand quit 4 months ago... :)

After the holidays, I do plan on ordering two of everything from then on. When I ordered the iTaste, it was still up in the air on whether he'd stick with vaping or not. I offered to buy two MVP's but he insisted it was too big and strange. He actually wanted cigalikes for a while, rather then an ego style battery because he wanted small. I convinced him they wouldn't be satisfying to him, and they wouldn't be if he prefers my iTaste so much more then the 650 mAh battery he started with.

Some of us just have to go through the progression. Heck I still use my cigalikes as my preferred driving vape and only take the EGOs if I forgot to fill the cartos for the cigalikes.

my progression was
cigalike -> ego -> vamo -> tube mech -> REO

At home I use a REO + RM2.

There is room for all styles of vaping.

You ever regretted turning someone on to vaping?

First off, luv your story! It's totally rewarding to v-vert someone; especially someone that can share wid you (or visa versa)!

Now, to answer your question...

Had a ol' school mate ask me to help her sister to drop da 'bakky (and reimburse me whatever I sent). Unfortunately her sister lives outta state. I ever soooo much regret volunteering to mentor/assist via da long distance phone!!! No, she had NO 'puter/internet...

As for my other 48 v-verts (face-to-face experiences), kinda like 'family!

No mo' long distance phone nurturing da tyros fer dis guy!

Very nice story, very amusing:vapor: Ive been free of smokes for almost four weeks now, and Ive come a long way on the vaping scene in that time. I kind of liken myself to you husband, I was very skeptical that e-vaping would even work, and meanwhile my fiancee and her best friend were busy buying tons of liquid and devices and I was all like babe! take it easy! dont buy more till youve vaped all this other juice first! Now we have a whole shelf dedicated in the living room to our devices, spinners, egos all kinds of clearos, we each have an MVP2 My latest is an LR901 dripping atty to taste juices without the hassle. I love it! I love vaping and everything about it. And the way we look at is its ok at first, to spend money trying to find what we really like when we would have been blowing money on cartons of cigs anyways(and we dont spend that much with all these purchases) so vape on! and happy converting!!

Tinkie, that's actually an awesome story. Annoying you at first, but at least he's loving it more and more.

My regrettable convert, however, isn't a fun one. Converted someone, and now he is a militant vaper with no regard for anyone around him when in public.
And when he tries to convert others, he gets a lot of his facts slightly mixed up. Which is really irritating to me.
Maybe I just need to lighten up.

Yes! He's always, "Take it easy!! Why are you buying all of this? Aren't we supposed to be saving the cigarette money?" Then, he tries what I buy and it's all over. He wants it. How can I "take it easy" when he insists he NEEDS whatever it is that I buy for myself? NEEDS it. In caps. And regardless of how many times I tell him that I'm ordering XYZ and he should have one too because he'll need it, he thinks he'll be okay with what he had before. He was told from the beginning that those cheap, $15 kits shouldn't be the main things we use. Things will break, the batteries won't hold their charges for much longer... Indeed, his are starting to break down. The button gets stuck on one, the bottom end piece gets pushed in whenever he plugs it in because the glue or whatever they use is coming loose. They work, but you can tell they're on the way out. Then, of course, they just don't compare to the iTaste's performance. Hopefully, he'll just be happy with the iTaste. I just can't imagine the MVP 2 being so much better. Not like it was between the cheap, knock off, ego styles and the iTaste.

Militant anything is annoying. Taking anything to such an extreme that you turn people off of things is just so counterproductive. I love vaping. Absolutely love it. But there's no point to pushing and pushing. I spoke to a couple of smokers while I was vaping in the smoking area outside my building. Just answering questions about my vape. One was interested enough to take down some web addresses on where to get some gear. The other just wasn't. That's okay.

Update on the thieving husband - My MVP 2 arrived in the mail today. I'm not home yet, but he's opened it up. :glare: He hasn't used it yet, but he's kind of whining about why he has to use the iTaste VV v3 and I get the shiny new vape. Apparently, he decided he wasn't going to pretend he's not interested anymore. Also, he seems to have forgotten that he considered the MVP 2 too bulky. As he hasn't used it yet, I've been telling him it hits exactly the same as the iTaste, and I only got it because it was on sale for pretty much the same price as an iTaste and it'll charge my phone in a pinch during my long commute. He'll try it in the middle of the night I know. I'm hoping it doesn't hit much better then the iTaste, or he'll claim it and give me the iTaste back. He'll try to anyway. I'm going to fight him on this one. I allowed him to take my gear at first because I was trying to get him into this as much as I was so he'd stop smoking. Mission accomplished. He's just spoiled now.

Ideally they should hit the same. The MVP 2 just has a bigger battery so it will last roughly 3x as long between charges.

Here's the rub... According to pbusardo's review, in variable wattage mode, the MVP fires hot. The iTaste vv3 hits the set wattage except at the highest settings.

So here's what your hubby is gonna feel. He's gonna set the iTaste vv3 at 7 watts and the MVP 2 at 7 watts. The MVP will hit harder, and instead of assuming the MVP is wrong, he'll consider the iTaste is weak.

Hopefully this has been corrected. Innokin has been constantly tweaking their products and pbusardo often gets "pre-production" units, so what you and I buy often is not what he reviews. I know the itaste vv3 has already been revised to have 6 rivets instead of two and I've heard that there have been several cosmetic differences in the MVP2 such as the switch on the bottom and the button tightness. It would be nice if they corrected the wattage regulator as well.

So you might as well buckle up and get him one as well. But tell him that if you get him the MVP 2, you'll want your vv3 back.

I have 3 vv3's. When my MVP2 arrives, I'm going to keep the three vv3's in rotation for when I go to work. They are very convenient to use and last the entire day at work. My MVP 2 will be my nighttime/weekend/home vape.

My sister was having problems not getting a satisfying vape on a cig-a-like, so I loaned her my eGo twist to see if that worked better for her. She also had to take the charger. I haven't seen either in almost a month, and I don't think I'm getting them back... :(

I have one other eGo twist and no way to charge the thing, so I'm using my iTaste VV V3's all the time now. Not that I'm complaining... but I never said I intended to GIVE her my twist, I told her she can BORROW it to try.

Funny because this is the same sister who will call you up literally years after having "given" you something and then ask for it back, or ask you to pay for it. Long ago I vowed never to accept anything from her again.
