I took the "No, I'm not there yet" option. I don't know if I'll give it up, but am not ruling it out. I started at 24mg and have cut back to the 8-12 range without a problem. I still have a stash of 24mg cartomizers I'm slowly working my way through, and they almost make me loopy now - I may wind up rinsing them out. At any rate, I'll continue to try to cut back at my own pace, and if I make it, great. If not, I'm fine with that, too.

I have no intention of giving it up m'self.

Having said that I also vape for taste and the hand to mouth, but I never started with the actual intention of saying g'bye to nicotine.

I say we lobby to ban coffee and Alcohol... stick some mud in the other side's eyes.

Ok, bad idea.... I don't drink coffee, but I like my other beverages.;)

Very interesting: At 26 votes it is 50-50 for plan to quit nicotine vs. never, with zero for already there. What fascinates me about this is that I suspect a poll of smokers would result in much higher than 50% plan to quit. Of course it remains to be seen whether the plans of vapers work out any better than the plans of smokers in this regard.

My intention is to be healthier if someday I don't feel like vaping or using snuff anymore that's cool. But for now I don't intend to go nic free. I like it and I am proud to say that now I get to enjoy one of my guilty pleasures without the damage I was doing to myself with an extra 4,000 chemicals.

Some people might be healthy smokers but it was not working for me. Thanks e-cigs and the forum.

I come from a long line of nicotine addicts... My dad's side of the family were all crazy heavy smokers until some health problem made them stop and/or they got old and dropped dead from one thing or another.
My dad still loves his cigars.
My brother likes his chaw.
I loved my ciggies but was afraid of all the side effects, so I fought.. and fought..

Now that I discovered vaping I can still get my minor dose of nicotine without the carcinogens. Win!

When I first tried vaping, I didn't even think I'd quit smoking. I thought this would just be an alternative for use when I couldn't smoke and maybe it would help me cut back. But then I really did quit and was so happy about that I didn't care if I ever got off nicotine. Here I am a few months later having dropped my nic level with no problem, thinking why not make it a goal to be free of nicotine addiction?

What I'd love is to be able to vape 0mg for enjoyment and be able to occasionally use some low strength liquid if I wanted a boost. And quite honestly, I think I could be that way with an e-cig. It simply doesn't have the same hold on me cigarettes did. It seems like I vape constantly, but I've been doing that since day one, no matter what strength nic I use. I really think it's more habit and psychological attachment to my e-cig than it is addiction. Whether it'll be just as effortless to go lower remains to be seen, but I'm in no rush. I'd just like to get there eventually.
