Hcigar VT 40 anticipation thread

Hcigar has another dna 40 mod coming this summer, and it looks like their take on a Zero type mod with a large screen dna 40. I need one of these like a hole in the head, but I'll be keeping my eye on this one because I love my HB dna 40 so much.

Just like the zero clones as far as size for sure. FT already has these in TC capability but not the Hcigar version of course.

I really like the look of that. It has a sx mini feel about it but different! Probably will be approximately the same sort of size I guess. Little less 'boxy' than the zero...Looks pretty solid. Nice!

The VF mini is over 90mm tall I think, this one looks shorter; Hcigar really needs to release the actual specs.

Nice looking device, though that bit of marketing copy about small size is funny given that the primary comparison mod is the VS!

HB DNA 40 is 90x50x23, so this is slightly shorter and slightly less wide with 1mm added to depth
IMO that's a pretty small device, because the HB DNA 40 is petite already

I will be buying one of these and give my wife my HB 40. I hope they make it nice and affordable like the HB 40.

Looks great. They have the wiring figured out and have proven they can make a nice DNA40 mod. Assuming the price will be very competitive this might be hard to beat. I can get the HB40 for 130 plus tax with the closest DNA40 competitor at 240 for an RDNA. I am in Canada so prices are higher. Of course time will tell on the fit/finish and overall quality.

I was tracking around the interwebz about this some more, of course didn't find much other then someone from hcigar flashing pics. Found a post on reddit of a redditor stating preorders as early as next week with production occurring in 4-6 weeks. Just word of mouth and nothing more, /r/SmogGB is where it was seen nothing to verify against it.

P4U was having many issues with the chipset, the sx330 VC3 series, if I remember correctly. But how it was handled I thought was the correct way to go about it honestly. Too few companies will scale back release dates to make sure their products work as intended and without issue albeit nominal problems might still exist. The business with regulated devices is some ramp up release dates to get their product out to only become junk. Take a look at the video game industry I can think of many examples from that alone.
