And then there's this...

CNBC: Trump administration readies ban on flavored e-cigarettes amid outbreak of vaping-related deaths.
Trump administration readies ban on flavored e-cigarettes amid outbreak of vaping-related deaths

Still think that this is strictly a partisan issue?

Anyone watch that embedded video news conference? The ANTZ have done their job and pushed public opinion to the point it can no longer be a partisan issue. At this point it would be political suicide. The last vestige is "tobacco" flavor and they will topple that one also.

So, after 6 deaths.
(and none in the UK, home of 5 million vapers)
And 11,000 Americans have died in that same timespan from smoking or 2nd hand smoke.
And 300 Americans died from firearms.

You can Also add 47,000+ Deaths from Opioid Overdoses to your list.

What does firearms have to do with it or anything else for that matter?

Yeah, let's leave the comparisons to health issues. Always ticked me off having doctors ask me about firearms. When they asked if I had any firearms in my home, I'd always ask them "Do you think whether I do or don't is affecting my sinus infection?"

I would say that Senator Ron Johnson and Representative Duncan Hunter have been strong defenders of the grass roots vaping industry. Can you name a single Senator or Representative from the other party who was?

Good point. Only 99.998% of Pubs are against us compared to 100% of Dems. Obvious who our friends are then. Guess I didn't notice since I live in the People's Republic of Indiana and none of the .0002% operate out of here.

They are not for the people, blue or red. They are all about the benjamins and lots of them.

Political suicide, sometimes called "courage" or the humble ability to do the right thing and avoid the expedient thing. Few have the courage to do that which will remove them from the seat of power. Some may enter politics for the "right" reason, few stay in politics for the "right" reasons.

The current anti vaping climate is a result of extreme ignorance, horrible journalism, mass hysteria, stupidity, and the existence of a black market of certain items that are illegal.

Had the substance been legal everywhere, then there would be no market for anybody having to resort to buying certain items on the street, items which can certainly be unsafe, such as certain oils, and counterfeit products, where nobody has any idea what ingredients are included or how theyre made.

Vaping is a delivery method. Vaping can of course be dangerous if somebody is vaping something which contains an ingredient that should not be vaped.

It might even be a product that was deliberately made to harm or to kill.

Its like alcohol. People have died from bad moonshine, and There are hundreds of links that you can find and read about many hundreds or thousands who have died from toxic moonshine. Did they ban all alcoholic beverages because of that toxic moonshine, or engage in mass hysteria warning people to stop drinking all alcohol?

absolutely right. agree with you.

I haven't heard anything from my local congress critter since I gave her staff in the district office a demonstration which included a thumb drive with links to pertinent information.

So flavors other than tobacco will be illegal within 2-3 months. Vendors will have 30 days after it's formalized to sell all flavored juices and pods.

Could happen much faster than that and nationally with the stroke of a pen after watching today's video briefing with the HHS & acting FDA directors at the White House. They looked like they had been lashed.
