Was wondering if anyone has experienced an instant headache when they drip. Seems when I drip I get a headache pretty fast. Don't really know if it is because I'm hitting it to hard and fast or if it could possibly be a more common thing with some. Not having the same trouble with cartomizers at all. Any thoughts.

Most headaches from vaping come from either an allergy to PG, power vaping where the muscles in the back of the neck are strained from hard draws, or too much nicotine. Are you using a higher level of nicotine ejuice than your cartomizers? That could do it as well. See a doctor, though if it continues.
