I am experiencing the same as you jackbox. Since the begining, of that China post story, i am getting packages from other supliers by registered airmail, and getting them faster then i am used to.

Ironic isn't it? Yet, HC refuses to ship registered airmail and sticking to their fallacious story. So many shippers must be thinking like them resulting in improved transit times, rather than longer.

We are very sorry for the problem with your order.

The reason why we do insist on using EMS which has become a big problem for us is because that we have much more problems with using China airmail.

We love all orders whatever small or big wherever it is from USA or Thailand. If we can use airmail with no problem, why do not we use it?

We know clearly that we will lose orders or customers if we shut down airmail.

Nevertheless, we still decided to stop airmail because we want each order to get successfully delivered timely. Actually many packages via china airmail since Sep were returned by our customs and had to be resent via DHL/EMS or get canceled. Each returned package means a waste of our customer's time no matter the package would be resent or canceled. We should avoid wasting our customers' time.

When a customer places his order on our site, he may start to expect it. It is our responsibility to let him happy, not let him down. But if a customer chooses China airmail duing peak season, he may be disappointed by the extremely long wait. We hate the disappointment. We want to bring only happiness to each customer. We want to decrease the chance of the disappointment.

EMS also lets people down sometimes. but it is better than airmail. so we still keep EMS.

DHL rarely let us down. so we dropped DHL shipping price and replace EMS free shipping or airmail free shipping with DHL free shipping to some countries.

Our aim is to make each customer feel it a good choice to choose Health Cabin.

When airmail is back to normal, we will bring it back.

and with DHL we always get hit with brokerage fees, thankyou for loving us so much.

This was the reply we recieved & HC's CRA Tracking pages are down, so we still have no idea or way to check on where our order from 9/3/2012 is at this point as we recieved no reciept other than the pay site we go through. RA/CHINA REGISTERED AIRMAIL LINKS DOWN.

Just my 2 cents but here is what I think :

- IMHO Health Cabin offer the best after sale to their customers in the ecig business, I am absolutelku sure about that.

- This days, registered airmail is a real pain, sooo loonng ( my last order at HC by airmail took 6 weeks to reach France ), the tracking is almost always down and customs retain package with liquid this days, so... As you I like registered airmail cost but if I never receive my package or if I receive it months later, this low cost shipping seems less attractive, no ?

HC offer the best service for their customers, what can they do more ? They can't take the package to our doors by themselves, so they use the most reliables shipping companys.

I don't really see the point here, HC has no interest at all to ship with one way or another, or to lie about that, so they choose the best for their customers hoping to not loose orders because of that and explaining the facts about this choices.

Like it or not, this quote is my fact for France shipping, bottom line. And like I said earlier, I enjoyed low cost airmail before and I would like it again if it works for my country, that's not the case at this time.

I won't debate on that, english is not my native language and I have no time for this.

You don't like people favourising vendors, I don't like people just bad critize vendors, personnally, I favourise vendors I appreciate and flame thrower the bad ones. That way, others generally trust me

Anyone can too as I posted my order info in the thread & even though HC took their link to CRA down so people can't find out, shall I post all of this from the beginning? I was tryingto politely keep egg off your HC's face. I simply asked if our order has ever left China? The 20th (Thx again Jasta!) Departure from Outward office of Exchange, Location, SHANGHAI. 2) Origin Post is Preparing Shipment, Registered Mail. My question was, #2-does that mean it made it out of China or not? If I could find that, you could & you know what that means, I do not. I really wanted to buy the eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2 (aka VAMO) from you. You know I tried to buy two and the EMS package was returned to you twice.

It is a great price but due to the warning in the listing I believe it is a v1 and doesn't have the updated spring. It might not be usable at the 6 watt setting only, but you just avoid that setting. Two places in the listing it warns about the spring and using some 18650 batteries. That issue was fixed in v2. Here is quote from listing.

This unit may not fit all 18650 batteryies. Users speak of some adjustmetnt to the spring (we do not recommend this) or using a magnetic spacer to make the connection.​

Having said that the price is outstanding. I have one coming from a mini coop that went to the U.S.A first and the coop host is going to send it to me by regular airmail. I paid around $40.00 with shipping from the coop. This price is more than $10.00 less.

Version 1 issues (none a deal breaker)

1. When in VW mode never set it to 6 watts. The firmware has an error that will send a high voltage spike frying your carto/atty. All you need to do is never use 6 watts. Any other setting works fine.

2. No insulator in body where positive connector is. A flat top battery could short out in the tube. A button top is not a problem. This is easily remedied by making your own insulator out of a non conductive material that will fit in the tube to prevent a short. Just a round piece of heavy paper or electrical tape with a hole cut out in the center for the positive pin to make contact with the battery.

3. Spring is too short for flat top batteries and connection will be flakey. Just use a button top battery and there will be no issues. If you want to use a flat top battery you just need a new, longer spring, which HC is selling now. The ones that I bought that got returned twice to HC were version 1 with rubber buttons.

That's it. Otherwise the same device. For the price if I wasn't already getting one from the coop (mine is in Atlanta now and should be mailed out on Friday) I would jump on this deal. The only silver lining to my nightmare is that now I am getting version 2 in black chrome with metal buttons.

Those are both deal breakers for me. Especially not being able to vape at 6 watts. This latest version is better.

Registered Airmail from China to the U.S. can take a month or longer, especially during this time of the year. I just think you need to be more patient and in two weeks or so it will show up.

I had gifts for Christmas in my order and so far I have been waiting three weeks. I put a comment about my delayed order in a thread that has been deleted. HC have just sent me a ticket number so they must be onto it.

But I have had to order the Christmas gifts from another vendor in the US just in case they don't arrive by Christmas.

Am pretty gutted to be honest as most of my hardware comes from HC. They've even listed the MVP and the EVIC is coming soon. But what can you do? I am lucky I bought some items in bulk and hope the mail issue comes right before my supplies run low. I'm still not ordering anything until the mail gets sorted.
