Its fine, and sorry, I read my response again and it came off real d-baggy (not my intention). What do you use for wicks? I use mainly cotton (balls and yarn) but have tried pretty much everything besides ceramic rods and ss mesh. I find you need to change them a lot more frequently because the taste will go bad quicker but I feel they preform better and are cheaper than anything else I have tried.

No worries at all. :) As for what I use, it depends on the atty, juice, and situation. I use Ekowool, cotton, and Nextel ceramic for drippers, Kayfuns, and Aquas. For Genesis-style, I use steel cable with an Ekowool sleeve.

I just think this thread was made out of context. The guy who made this thread saw someone at a vape store tell someone that cotton is safe. But WHAT WAS REALLY THE CONTEXT?

I still have a feeling that the guy at the vape store meant cotton is as safe as silica, or ekowool.

The context was mentioned in another reply. The customer was a silica user that asked the clerk why he should consider cotton. The clerk absolutely did not mean "as safe" as the other materials you mentioned. As per the article, he said, "much safer than silica." I don't see how that could be interpreted to mean "as safe as silica."

The funny thing about that is (and I don't go to B&M around here much b/c there are no good ones close) I have seen a couple times staff talking people out of cotton and into silica presumably so they could keep selling it to them. I have also seen a B&M sell repacked cotton balls (about 20) for $5. Now you see why I don't go to B&M's around here lol.
