Yes I realise this is an older device but I just ordered 2 of these from Efun.At $9.99 I figured WTH.Pbusardo gave it a thumbs up but I was just wondering if anyone else has one of these and if they are dependable. TIA
P.S. You cannot choose a color.(random)
I will be using them in VW mode.

I have two that I purchased when they first came out. Used one up until maybe Jan of this year, can't remember for sure. I still use one when I am working outside or at the beach. $9.99 is a great price.

Here's a pic of it back when it was my main mod.

$16.33 to my door. Wonder if this is the early or later version- the early one supposedly had a habit of shutting down after it sat unused.
Actually they both shut down after a period of inactivity according to Phil.V1 would shut off after 1 hour. The V2 after 50 minutes.(I could have those backwards). Phil didn't consider that a con and neither do I.If it saves the battery its fine by me.The only real concern was the fire button on the V1 was a little janky,at least on the one he tested.I will post which version I get when they arrive.Phil mentioned only 2 available colors and Efun is actually showing 3-4 so I hope thats a good sign of V2.I got 2 delivered to my door for $31.00.

Ten bucks? Wow! I wanted one of those back when they first came out for use as a barn mod (we have a farm, and lots of dirt and "ick," if you know what I mean ;)). They were $50 back then and I couldn't quite afford it, so instead I got a couple of Kanger Kbox 40W mods for $10 each because they're just about as sturdy. I don't use TC, anyway, so the little Kboxes work great as barn mods. I imagine the Invader mini would survive being dropped in a plop, whereas the Kbox maybe not so much, but so far, I've been lucky. No plop drops. :)

The mod works nice enough, and it sure is rugged. The V2 version fixed all the earlier problems (firebutton sticking and not turning on after standby). I would think all the current stock on these would be the V2 version. It only really has a couple negatives, the biggest issue being battery runtime, as it only gets half the runtime of any of my other mods. It must have a high idle current even when in standby, and using stealth mode to shut off the screen doesnt give any improvement. The other is the battery tube... button-top batteries wont work all that well, the battery cap ends up catching only a couple threads. Also batteries that have a double wrap, like a colored wrap covered with a clear wrap wont fit in it without sticking. I got one stuck and ended up using a magnet to get it back out. Single-wrapped flat tops work fine. I still enjoy using this mod for out and about, and you cant beat the current price.

Have you had a problem screwing on the battery cap? Phil was having an issue but it could be due to his chubby sausage digits.:D

I saw that video some time ago, he may have been using a button-top battery, which would explain it. The "button" makes them longer which makes the cap difficult to mount because you're working against the tension of the battery spring. It does work, its just tight. Flat-tops are no problem. The cap and battery tube end are chrome plated and have nice, smooth threads.

I like mine but the screen did something funky the other day and I had to remove the battery to reset it.It hasn't acted up since. The only other problem is this thing really chews through the battery and the way you have to press the + and - buttons 5 times to turn it off is very awkward. It sure is built like a tank though.

Thanks. I'll use that in the video.

Yeah it does stink because I gifted a mod to my brother to make my wife happy about the number of mods I have already. I haven't made the video yet, but I really don't want to spend 3x the amount I paid to ship it back and wait a possible 30+ days to get a replacement.

It simply won't power on no matter what battery I use. I've tested it with three different fresh Samsung INR-25's.
