I just got my replacement Invader for the one that was DOA Saturday a week ago. I have used it a couple of hours now and so far I love it, I don't think I will have problems with the top ring as long as I don't torque the tank down too tight. I did notice that the screen and board functions are nearly identical to my new Sig 75. Except Sig doesn't ask me if it's a new coil and does not allow screen to flip. I do like the Invader though almost as well as I like my new Sig :)

The invader is a solid device. I have the first issue and even with the settings quirks, it does TC really well. I did find the it doesn't like OCC Kanger nickel coils. I got erratic readings from all 5 of them.
Mine did go into TC mode when I took the Subtank Mini off to refill, but when I hit the fire button it asked about new coil or same and went back into correct mode. It also did not hold my settings when I changed the battery this morning. I may need to lock the settings in first. My other mods have always remembered without locking them in. There are just enough quirks that I would not recommend one to a beginner. It is still an awesome device and will work for what I wanted, a decent mod for use in the great outdoors. TC is a bonus and I will try that out as soon as I get the Nickel wire to build on my RBA Deck.

blame the coils not the mod!! The kanger horizontal Ni OCCs are notoriously janky. I have had problems with them on every TC mod I have (seven at present!). Hoping that they make Ni versions (or better Ti) of the new vertical coil heads!!

I haven't used them too much, but I've had decent experiences with the Delta II Ti coils so far.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I really like my Invader Mini. Nice size, water resistant, shock resistant and the temperature control helps a lot...but...I just built a DNA40 mod and it does seem to do temperature control a heck of a lot better than the Mini. Now, I'm not knocking the Mini at all, but there is a major difference in the overall quality of the vape between it and the DNA.

Coming back from a diving holiday I once after a boat dive found my bag completely saltwater filledwith the invader drowned in it.
after blowing the water off, and out of the connection threading with my dive tank (30 bar Nitrox :) ) I could start to vape. without any problems.
On the other hand getting just a very little damp killed my Provari.
