After trying to quit with various methods over 10 years, sometimes for months but going back to the cigs, then giving up on quitting for the last 10 years, I have not had nor even wanted a cig since day 3 of vaping. I still have 4 packs of Marlboro box unopened in the drawer right beside me. My 6 month vapeversary is tomorrow and there is no way in he!! I am even going to temp that demon again! To celebrate, those 4 packs hit the trash tomorrow! :vapor:

I have to admit I tried one...I couldn't believe how bad it tasted and that I actually enjoyed smoking analogs at one time too.

I've only been vaping for about a month and a half...I will never go back to analogs.

Man, that's the truth! I LIKED these things?? Really? This %$# was HARD to give up? Truly freaking amazing. And I'll never go back either.

I'm doing both and I kind of feel bad about it. I'm still smoking 3-4 analogs a day and vaping the rest.

I am the same, started my ecigs 2 days ago, still have less than half a packet of stinkies to finish, but I am only having about 3 - 4 a day, as soon as they are gone I will NOT buy another packet. I have 2 in the morning with my coffee (thats going to be my weak hour of the day) and then one at night sometimes I in the day but its only day 3. Doing very well considering that half a packet would have been gone halfway through day two before I got my e-cig

Yeah, it took me about a month to make the total switch, both times I quit. I knew pressuring myself would be counter-productive, so I just let my own preference guide me; when I got down to few enough each day, they no longer tasted like anything I wanted to taste!

It took me 21 months to make the switch to vaping, but once I found the flavors I like, the right nic level (24mg) and GOOD HARDWARE (Ego batts with clearomizers), I was able to do it. It's been over 3 years, 2 months and 4 weeks since I smoked anything, and I'm so GRATEFUL to have THAT behind me, I suspect I'll never 'cheat' again!

Once you get the right combinations working for you, you'll be FREE!

I'm very HAPPY for me, and I wish ALL OF YA the VERY BEST, from here on out! :D

BTW - in the last two years, my nic level has lowered to between 0 mg and 6 mg. When I'm camping, or drinking with a smoking friend, I prefer higher nic levels. Keeps me 'on track'.

I quite smoking and only vaped for 3-4 months early in the year on an evod starter kit. I even got down to 0 nic and did that for 3 weeks or so. Then, I started rolling a few smokes when I'd have some drinks on the weekends which worked out great... until I lost my evod and t3d in a friend's truck while he was trailering my jeep for me down to a club ride in Alabama and picked up some smokes and hit them hard until my mother got sick again a little over a month ago. I put them down and said no more and don't want anymore.

I asked my wife for a hit off her Smooth last week, can't believe how nasty it was. Tasting burnt paper. How come I can taste the tobacco, paper, etc in a cigarette but fail to find all these mysterious supposed nuances in the juice flavors?
Almost 3 PAD all I tasted was smoke and menthol. Now that paper hits like a brick. Hard to believe I loved it so much.

I think it has been about 3 years. I have smoked about 12 to 15 cigarettes in that time. Now it just makes me feel dirty and a little sick. Anyways vaping saved my life in so many ways. Everybody is different, husband still smokes and tries vaping every few months, keep trying to get a set up that works for him, we shall see :)

I've cheated a couple/three times in the year and 3 months I've been vaping. Once it was on a camping trip, and using a mod wasn't really practical given that it was raining and muddy. The other two times it was just on a whim/when I was drunk.

Not gonna lie, they didn't go unappreciated, I enjoyed the hell out of 'em. I think it's almost necessary to cheat/slip at least once, sort of get it out of your system. Some people go to cheat, take one drag and are repulsed, which I guess proves that your mind/willpower is the best quitting tool at your disposal.

Oh, also worth mentioning, I keep an unopened pack of cigarettes on my desk. Marlboro 54's, just like I used to smoke (2 packs a day for too long). They don't even make 'em anymore. It sort of stands as a testament to the fact that I truly have quit cigarettes.

Also if the world were to be ending, I'd probably light one up and drive headlong into the apocalypse.

I am very glad to see this post. I have been struggling with dual use for a while now. I am a total nicotine addict and I use it in every single form. Shoot, I was smoking a cigar with a few buddies about a month and a half ago. At the cigar shop they sold snuff, so naturally I bough some. The snuff seems to be endless. I use it daily for over a month and its still going strong.

I don't buy cigarettes any more. Or chew for that matter. But I do meet with large groups of people. We have very little in common, except that 90 percent of the folks have severe caffeine and nicotine addictions. I am sure some people here know what I am talking about. When I have a group of 20 friends of mine all smoking cigarettes, I get weak and bum a smoke.

Now, I am down to about 4-5 smokes a week, which is great compared to the pack of smokes/tin of dip I was going through before I started vaping. I have been saying that I will give up all tobacco once this damned snuff is gone. This snuff seems endless though. But I haven't smoked a cigar in upwards of a month, since I bought the snuff. I guess this might be my new years resolution.

I myself haven't smoked since I started vaping, however I wanted to chime in here and offer you "cheaters" some support. I think you should look at the positive and on the fact that you have cut down on traditional tobacco use/nicotine delivery. In other words, be happy how much less you're using, and don't focus on the fact that you "cheated." IMO, you're still doing yourself well! Give credit where credit is due. Best of luck and congratulations to everyone for your efforts.

after a meal, as good as vaping is now, isn't nearly as satisfy'n as an analog.

That was actually where I had the LEAST difficulty in substituting vape for smoke -- after eating anything, the throat hit from vaping is SUPERB! I really thought that the after-meal smoke would be the hardest to get rid of, but it turned out to be the easiest. Maybe that was why I felt like, oh, if I can be happy with vaping instead of smoking, after eating, then I can be happy with it all the time!

For me, that first one in the morning was the most stubborn -- then I realized I wasn't "puffing" it correctly; half asleep, I was trying to vape the same way I smoked -- fast, hard draws, deep into the lungs. Once I figured this out, the very next morning I set about vaping with the long, slow pulls, letting it hang around in mouth and throat before any inhaling, letting it exhale very slowly via my nose -- that was my first smoke-free day, because that kind of "puffing" let me get enough nicotine to get satisfied.
