Also keep in mind that there are other things in analogs, besides nicotine, that are addictive. In fact, a recent study or two have shown that nicotine craving is more of a dependence, like caffeine, than an addiction. BT has laced their products with several drugs to keep us smoking. Takes some time to get those other monkeys off your back.

I was a 1 to 2 pack a day on full flavor Camel's (analogs) and decided it was time to switch to vaping, I started with Chain vaping 24 mg and the next bottle of juice was 36mg. At the time my favorite juices were all tobacco blends and the two I enjoyed most were the Cowboy and Turkish flavors. After a week or two vaping the stronger juices I started dropping the nicotine levels down. I'm presently at 12mg. Not once did I give in to my old habits, although I tempted and had the urge.
Flash forward 6 months I still enjoy the tobacco flavors but I've been diluting then down in tobacco flavor to somewhere between 15% to 50% of it's original tobacco flavor strength. The original strengths are just too strong flavored to me now. Sometimes adding just unflavored juice and sometimes adding a little crisp apple, honey or berry flavoring to the unflavored juice. Once in a while I'll try something new and unrelated to tobacco and still end up using a diluted weak tobacco base as my all day blend. Just yesterday a friend of mine who still smokes my old favorite analogue dropped by and lit up. I was curious I took one, lite up and thought i was going to enjoy it. Boy was I wrong. It was Hot, Dry and tasted like Crap. A single puff was all I took and was all all I needed to assure myself that I prefer vaping.

So far, so good, Vapilicious!

When I started vaping last year, I decided I wouldn't try to dual use, figured I had to make the break sometime, so for me it was best to do it from the beginning. Every once in a while, I chewed the gum in addition to the vape. Sure, there were several hard times, but they always go away, and it gets easier and easier. I smoked ~2PAD and smoked 45+ years. Haven't had one in over a year now and don't want to. Yuk, they stink sooooo bad! You can do this!

although the wife and i still smoke the occasional analog, when highly stressed usually, we did successfully give thwm up all together for about a month. we are trying to again.

i have found, to my personal preference anyhow, that the quality and flavor of juice makes all the difference in the world. i just ordered my first 5 bottle sampler from CC Vapes and am currently vaping their Mystik RY4 50/50 24mg and have absolutely no desire for an analog because this stuff tastes so good, it makes my old Pall Mall menthols taste like ......

Stick with it! It does get easier! It's been a few months for me. And at first I was constantly off the wagon, mostly bumming here and there at work. But it got to the point where I'd light up a stinkie and couldn't wait to get through it and get back to my delicious juice. I'd get frustrated that it would make my juice taste off for a while. Slowly but surely the urge for a "real one" got replaced with the sentiment of "why would I want one of those when my vapor is so much more delicious!" These folks are right. The right nic strength and a good flavor or two you love is key! Good luck my friends and congrats on making the leap!

My advice would be to not think about it.. Once I found a setup I liked I didn't even want to smoke. I still had cigarettes, and thats what made me realize I hadn't had one. They were sitting on top of the fridge when I went to start cooking dinner. Called my son in (who was always telling me smoking is bad and nasty and I needed to quit) and gave them to him to throw in the trash. Victory through perseverance my friend. Just keep your head down and don't worry about smoking. If you get a craving or urge just have a vape and a cold beverage, you'll make it!
