Hi Heell, The need for a low Ω atomizer/etc is thrown right out the window when you have the ability to adjust you voltage/wattage. The end result of low Ω on high voltage/wattage is less battery life, less atomizer life, more amperage drawn from the device as a whole and generally more overall issue with device reliability. If you have the ability to adjust your voltage up to 6v, or your wattage up to 12(+) watts then you should run the highest Ω you can in order to get the flavor/vapor/feeling that you are looking for. With your 1.8Ω atty and 4v(I am implying volts even though your post said watts because i cant see how 1.8 could be set to 4w on the zmax within its limitations) you would be running at 8.8889 watts with a current draw of 2.222amperes........ The same wattage of ~8.8889 could be arranged with 5v and 2.8Ω with 1.71 amperes current draw...... all that wasted energy on a lowΩ equates to nothing more than additional strain on the electronics in your mod and shorter vape times form your battery.... This also points toward whay you are having soo many other issues with the other devices attached to your zmax because of undue over voltage(ing?) of your atties/cartos, especially the a7.

Not to mention the fact that so many other folks with the zmax state blatantly that the adjustments shown on the device are sooo far off from the real wold voltages experienced on many other devices that this still again goes to show you that you should start from the bottom of your adjustment scale and work your way up from there, ignoring the readings and only going from the quality of the flavor/vapor/feeling. Good Luck. Happy vaping.

Thanks I figured it out lol god I feel Amish lol. So what flavors do u like and what do u use to vape?

Right now I'm vaping on a Zmax version 1. I like coffee flavors, apricot, RY4... and a bunch of others. I like Mt. Baker Vapor but I think you said you didn't like those so much.
I like the coffee flavors and some other flavors from Vape Dudes. You get 40% off your first order with coupon code VAPEDUDES. You might want to try some small samples from there - with 40% off its cheap. Only thing is they have a 7-10 day shipping time at the moment.

Yes, that's true with the version 1. Which it sounds like the OP has. My Zmax version 1 is a higher hitter. The version 2 has fixed that issue and is very accurate. Version 1 is good used as a low to high device, remembering that low is not really, really low.

Heres an easy one.. Ohm's Law Calculator plug in the known values, click calculate and it figures the rest for you.

That won't work with the Zmax version 1. The displayed voltage/wattage will not be what is hitting. I use one and it works fine if you just start at the lowest setting and work up. Once you know the watts you like it's easy after that. It's easy anyway. Zmax v1 is powerful. Some call it "the beast". :D

Thanks I'll look into it, and how do u know what model zmax u have ? Idk if mine is 1 or 2 I ordered it a week ago. Like blue berrry muffin from mrs ts the best I've tried so far but I THINK not for sure it's almost a dollar a ml

If it has 7 menus its version 1.
If it has 8 menus its version 2.

That occurs only after the atty has failed. The zmax is a good PV - you just have to be careful as the device will allow you to push components to failure.

Yeah, good point. It's like a lot of PWMs in that respect. Keeping the ohms not too low works well on it I find.

Low not really being low Was my exact thought. Thats why I was thinking he was using it arond "4v" as the display would have shown him and reality he was probably at around an average voltage of about 4.8... and the suggestion of ignoring the readings and adjusting soley by feeling, from dead bottom low up to where the device works good for him without burning up the attached atties...... Im glad you pointed him out how to find out what version he has in his hands. Knowledge is power.

With one 18650 4 volts will be around 4.99 volts. With two 18350s 4 volts will be around 5.54 volts at 2.6 ohms.
The advantage with using the variable wattage mode instead is that it adjusts the volts according to the ohms.
Using 2.8 ohms at 3, 3.5 and 4 watts on Zmax 1 is fine for me. I've gone higher. You know when it tastes right.
