Guess I'll live with just knowing the settings r a little higher lol

Why not if you're happy with it. The Zmax version 1 is not different to some other PWM devices that have the settings based on average voltage -Vavg. RMS is the root mean square and gives more accuracy - this is what version 2 uses. Understanding the difference has been a pretty recent development for vapers. Now we are seeing RMS devices coming out, including the Zmax 2.
I have a Zmax 2 on the way - I got it cheap at the time, and with the Zmax 1 will have two variable wattage devices. I like my Zmax 1.

any opinions on volt x2 with an x2 clearo? i have only used stick bats this far just placed an order for an x2. I really like smokelessimage. All the ego options still seem a bit intimidating to me.

I began vaping with the 78mm Volt stick batteries, and very quickly moved up to the X2s and clearomizers. They are a great combo and will provide you with longer time between battery recharges compared to the Volt mini's.

You do realize that the Smokeless Image X2s are nearly the same battery as an eGo? The X2 has an 808 connector thread while the eGo has a 510 connector thread.
