A friend of mine introduced me to e cigs a few days ago and now im here. Giving up real cigs is the plan but im not putting too much pressure on myself. Hello to everyone, I would like some advice on my first device and liquid.

I was advised to look at the tw tornado, but have since noticed it look very similar to the ego t, are they the same? I think this is the device i want and for £40 im happy!

What extras would be best to buy? Spare atomiser or batteries? Empty cartidges?

Im gonna go staight into the liquid, i gather the average user is on 3 - 5ml a day. I would like to get into mixing my own asap and have read a few guides. Good uk suppliers of parts required would be very helpful.

Im quite nervous about using it outside the home, but im hoping it would certainly help when at home!

I have a feeling i could get quite into this and quit with some ease but want it to be very cost effective. I dont want to waste any money trying e liquids i wont like but thought about get stuck in a get a good tobacco flavour in 30/60ml to keep me going if i can kick the real cigs. I dont wantg to run out if its working!

Many thanks , will

I personally started with a Ego-t and Ego and after 2 days I sold it right away the unit was just not what I was hoping for. I can name you ton's of better unit's but as a start you may even like it I sure hope so.

I may would recommend you finding the right juices that you like first and then start mixing your own. I vape since 3 month have not considered mixing my own because now after 3 month I finally found 3-5 juices that work for me. Of course if you know what you like to vape go right into it I just think it is impossible IMO.

I like a fresh melon, strawberry, banana, etc etc but vaping it? hell no so finding your liquid should be the first thing on your list.

I wish you good luck on your journey it was a touch and hard one for me but you will get there m8.

TotallyWicked sells Joye products, they're just rebranded. The kit should come with 2 atty's so maybe try getting a LR atty to see if you like it. As for DIY, it's not hard to do, but get a few flavors you think you'll like straight so you'll have a fall back if you make a particularly vile mixture ( it does happen, lol ) Also, when you're trying new mixtures, make a small batch (2-3 ml's) without nicotine so if it's bad you're not out much.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/169778-diy-juice-where-do-i-start.html This should help too.

Also, LibertyFlights is in the UK too, they tend to have excellent hardware prices.

Hello & welcome Wurge :)

I've heard mixed reviews about the ego T. If you want an e-cig that will last you most of the day between recharges & minimum faffing, I'd recommend the Riva 510. Best UK deal at the moment cos it comes with a free 10ml bottle of e-liquid of your choice is from freedom vape -

Riva 510 E-Cigarette Starter Kit - Detailed item view - FreedomVape (UK)

Their juices are really good as well :)

You'll have to buy tanks and I believe the tanks use a different atty as well. As far as carts go, I wouldn't even buy any extras, they're not great.

What do use instead, i dont understand!! Right well with 15 percent at liberty flights the riva is a modest 28 quid. Will chuck in a dozen flavours of e liq and am I good to go for a while yes?

the ego-- tornado --riva/510*
these are all names of the batterys *thread size

reg riva/510 kit
should have
2 batteries ,2 atomizers & some carts

ego-t kit
should have
2 batteries ,2 TANK/atomizers & some TANKS

the best thing to do if you wanna try both (& have back ups)
is to buy one one of the kits & then .....get

a reg. atty&carts
or a tank/atty & some tanks (whichever did not come w/kit)
or some cartomizers (all in one type devise)

that way you have both or several options & a back up plan for emergency's ....make sense ?

That will keep you going for a good bit, and allow you to try some different things. I personally only drip (thats dropping liquid right onto the atty through a drip tip) You might also want to get a pack of cartomizers to try out like meems said, the Boge cartos are quite popular. There's a whole world of stuff to try, and you'll get as many opinions as people here. Once you try a few things you'll get a better idea of what you like and what you want to stick with on a more permanent basis.

Perfect thank you. Think im going to leave the tanks for a bit and see how i get on, but at least i understarand now!
thinking with high nicotine content to start and move down, 15-20 roll up cigs a dag (no filter).

Anything else I should add to my shopping list? Thank you to all who have contributed.

I'm quite sure the eGo T is a much more powerful battery. I checked the website and it's clear the TW Tornado tank model are using the same 650mAh batterys. Nothing wrong with 650mAh, just a true ego T will give you more power. A Riva 510 is in a similar class, 750mAh, but ~£30, and the batteries are cheaper. You may need to use both batteries per day, depending on use.

I'd lean toward a standard Ego cartridges over the tank at first, but I have no experience with the tank.

The batteries in the 650-750mAh class should last you 300 days at least. Addies should be 4/year more or less. Cartridges i'm not sure on, and you can always refill those with foam, or enjoy a drip dip. You might consider cartomizer.

I do 1.5ml, perhaps 2ml. I was a pack a day smoker.

Thank your for the quick reply! Why did you sell the ego t? What else would you suggest?

I sold the Ego-T because of daily cleaning and the performance was just not stable. I then went to the Ego did not like it too much either went to the Go-Go which I would recommend every starter from there to the Reo Grand, SB, and found my final love in the Precise 18650 from supertmanufacturing.com. I wanted both 3.7v vaping and 6v vaping, I wanted the ability to use cartos and attys, I did not want to clean my Pv daily and I wanted a sexy looking device with long bat life and the Reo and Precise gave me that.

Again though IMO if you have not placed an order yet I would recommend the Go-Go any day of the week over the Ego but there are also enough people that like the Ego it was just not right for me.
