Hello @Reddogkw11, the most important thing is to find out what style of vaping suits you.

Some folks can do Direct To Lung (DTL) vaping without any issues, it's the lots of vapour big clouds style of vaping.

Some folks can only tolerate Mouth To Lung (MTL) as the big clouds DTL style will make them cough and choke. MTL is much less vapour, more slight mist style.

Once you've worked out which style suits you, you've then got to work out the Nicotine level that suits you. That's measured in mg/ml.

Then there's the Vegetable Glycerine and Propylene Glycol percentages of liquids as well.
I'm trying to research ever heard of the smoke stick v9?

A dear friend of mine that lives in Southern Maryland is from Saint Augustine, and I believe an ECF member lives there also.

I smoked about 35 or so years, and I could make a pack last me from 1 a day to 2 or 3 packs a week. I started vaping 36 mg/ml, went down to 21 mg/ml, and back up for the past 4 1/2 or so years to 24 mg/ml, which is closer to 22 or so mg/ml if I add flavor to it.

Reddogkw11, Starting out vaping you will want to match the nicotine level you were getting from the cigarettes to make vaping provide nic satisfaction. Full flavor cigarettes like Marlboro or Winston will fall into the 18 to 24 milligram category. Light cigarettes would be around 8 to 12 mg strength. You just want to replicate the satisfaction you got when you smoked. You can always taper down in nicotine as you buy new juices. Eventually, you will settle on the nicotine strength that satisfies.

Inside that, you may have already decided on DTL (direct to lung) or MTL (mouth to lung) style. MTL is similar to smoking a cigarette. DTL is like sucking on a straw.

A vape shop can provide some samples to give you an idea of what's available and show you some starter kits. Most of us started off with a cig-a-like e-cigarette that looked a lot like a cigarette. If you have friends who vape, hit them up for some ideas. Vape shop prices will be higher than mail order, but you will get to see some of the hardware for comparison. Vape shops will also show you the different types and explain how things work. Not all vape shops will have high end gear. They tend to cater to vapers who are just starting out.

Below is a link to some starter kits that will provide a good experience. Be aware that the atomizers include will usually be DTL (direct to lung). If you are looking for something that vapes like a cigarette, look for MTL (mouth to lung) in the atomizer description.

All the hardware is available in piece parts where you can buy the atomizer you want and the mod that you like. Take your time and read up before buying anything expensive. Ask questions. We love to help out new vapers.

SMOK Stick V9 is a DTL kit, and there's very little to no adjustment with them.

    Stick V9 & Stick V9 Max - Vape Pen | SMOK® Official Site

Innokin Kroma R kit with Zlide tank is perhaps one of the best MTL setups. The mod has a removable/replaceable battery, which can be a good thing for either extending vaping or the lifespan of the mod and the output is adjustable which allows you to set it to your preference/liking.

$49.96 (Free Shipping) Authentic Innokin Kroma-R 80W VV VW APV Box Mod Kit (Kroma-R 80W (4ml), w/ Zlide, Stainless Steel) at m.FastTech.com

The only downside with mods with removable/replaceable batteries, is that it's best to charge the batteries in an external charger. As using the onboard charger can stress the electronics and make them fail sooner rather than later.
