I am a 39 year old woman.
I have smoked Benson & Hedges Menthol, Matinee Menthol and most recently, Vogue Menthol 100s, since I was in my late teens...
I QUIT 25 days ago, thanks to vaping!!!
Prior to quitting, I was up to 35 analog cigs in a 24 hr period. It was getting out of control...and despite the fact I was keenly aware of the impact my habit was having on my health; DESPITE even the love for my children, I could not quit...or, even cut down!

Today,
I am stunned to hear myself say:

"I will NEVER SMOKE AGAIN."

The fact that I can say this (--and MEAN IT-), is nothing short of a miracle.
I am not religious, but I am evangelical about vaping!
I want to spread the "good news" and save others from the grip of smoking.

I want to begin by saying THANK YOU to all who participate in this forum.
You have taught, and continue to teach me SO MUCH about vaping.

It is my fervent hope, that as I learn, I too can share my personal experience with others.

Awesome to hear!! Welcome to the forums! I just love how helpful everyone is, and you are 100% right, what a great source for information and opinion. I know opinions here have helped me through deciding on the best mods for me, working through my first bout of "Vapers tounge", keeping me updated on current legislation. It has helped me jump off into a little DIY, and day after day continues to affirm that I made the right choice making the switch. Keep plugging along, and enjoy all the non-smoking days ahead!

What a warm and wonderful group!!!!

I am still in the learning phase with Vaping, but have come quite a long way in the past 3 weeks.

I began using those horrible Vapur disposables from the gas station...(had tried to quit with those in the past...with no luck).
Through research, I quickly discovered there are far more effective and satisfying alternatives out there!
First Order: a small kit containing a rechargeable ciggy like 510 with cartridges filled with yucky (prone to burning) fibre filler
Second Order: eGo C kit and E-Smart cartomizers
Third Order: eGo C Twists (3) with Kangertech Protank 2.....which is where I am now!
I have sampled some cheap e-juices (from same place I purchased my little 510 batteries...then, tried some samples from Alice in Vapeland (IN LOVE!!)

Currently, awaiting a variety of e-juices from Alice in Vapeland, and some from Mount Baker Vapour,
*AND*,
trying to decide which two APVs to try first (--in a few months when my credit cards have recovered a bit from their hemorrhages ...hehee)

Here is a pic of my new dedicated Vape Cabinet.
I will call it The Flavour Cage
(...alternatively, "Edgar's Enchanting Elixirs", as, I put my wooden raven atop the cabinet, and the effect is VERY Poe-esque!)

I am interested to browse the threads to see if others have pics for vaping equipment and juice storage!

I am DONE with smoke, and shall never look back, thanks to this heavenly alternative!

It appeals to me far more than smoking, on SOO MANY LEVELS!

1.Hand-mouth (oral fixation): CHECK!
2. Social enjoyment: CHECK!
3. Habit to accompany coffee, tea, phone calls, breaks --a very easy transition from analogs: CHECK!
4. REDUCED social stigma/isolation/alienation: CHECK!
5. NO offensive breath, no smoke smell clinging to clothing when I come in from the cold, no hideous butts/stinky ashtrays: CHECK!!
6. Awesome, exciting technical upgrades: CHECK!
7. Beautiful, satisfying inhale and exhale of delicious vapour clouds...in soooo many complex, delectable flavours: CHECK!
8. Cool, fashionable, customizable, aesthetically appealing ways to express your style; CHECK!
9. My self respect is on the rise! -Proud of my resolve and my (doubtless, sustainable) success: CHECK!
10. The ability to inspire others to get healthy; leading by example and offering guidance and info that is ACTUALLY USEFUL!!: CHECK!
Last but not least:
11. Relief and pride in the eyes of my sons: CHECK! *wipes tear*

Not sure how to put a pic up in my profile...using my iPhone to navigate this forum on Tapatalk...very confusing and limited in terms of editing tools!

I will try to post a pic of me (with my younger son), as well as a pic or two of my Flavour Cabinet!!

Oh! I also ordered som amber dropper bottles to transfer and store my MBV liquids, and to keep my own recipes! -check out the cool labels for them I found on Ebay! I have my apothecary cabinet right here in the living room. Why should I hide such an awesome display??

Congratulations, that is a huge step I know. I'm 27 and have been smoking for like 13 years. Up until I received my first kit almost 6 weeks ago, I have been smoke free ever since! It's a great feeling isn't it?
