First of all, I can't believe this name wasn't already taken. Awesome!

I've been a smoker for almost 15 years. For most of those years I indulged in about a pack a day, but in the last two years I average about 8 full flavor 100s per day. I've tried to quit a few times, starting off enthusiastic but inevitably I get bored and light up again. Very frustrating. I've known about e-cigs for a few years now but never researched it thoroughly, but about 4 days ago my curiosity got the best of me and I stumbled upon this forum. The initial sensory overload is quite intimidating, but I'm gradually picking my way through all of the information. The reason for my interest in this endeavor is partially due to wanting to lead a healthier lifestyle, some of it is financial with the price of cigarettes climbing higher and higher each year. But the main reason has to do with the coming winter and the fact that I'm so tired of having to go out into the cold just to smoke. It's not profound or anything, but that's the best I can do.

Luckily, I think I will avoid the "beginner's trap" of needing a device that looks and feels like a regular cigarette. I'm not trying to fool my mind into thinking I'm doing something that I'm not. What I do find important is the throat hit. That's my favorite part of smoking. The amount of vapor is not as important as long as something comes out.

Based on that, I have decided my first purchase, whenever that may be, will be a Joye eGo. I'm not exactly sure when I'm going to buy a starter kit, but see that LF has a good price. However, the longer I can hold out, the more likely it is that one will pop up in the trading post.

Now for the audience participation part of this post. As vast as the e-cig device world is, it seems the e-liquid world is much bigger. So I will just tell you what I'm looking for and the knowledgable folks that read this can point me in the right direction. Sample kits are obviously the way to go in order to keep the price reasonable while finding a preferred flavor. Here's the kicker though, I don't really see myself being interested in the nontobacco flavors. I actually enjoy the taste of cigarettes and the smell it leaves in the air, but in my clothes and on my skin, not so much. What I'm looking for is a juice that tastes like a regular marlboro or camel cigarette. I realize that a juice can't exactly taste like a cigarette, so any close approximation will have to do. Juice preference seems to be as individual as people themselves, but that's what I'm asking for: YOUR recommendation. Telling me who your favorite vendors are is welcome also because as it stands, I know nothing about any of them. Who knows, maybe I'll end up with cherry coke juice being my go-to, never-leave-home-without-it-flavor.

In the short time I've been reading this forum, the people seem very nice and the information, while being in overwhelming quantities, is very helpful. Better to have too much information than not enough when it comes to things like this.

Thank you to everyone who reads this and offers any advice, tips, and tricks to get me going. I really want to get this right.

Welcome!

For juice when your starting look for vendors with sample packs. I like the ones that let you pick your own juices for sample packs

I like BlueMist vapor. They have a huge selection, 250+ juices and really good prices, $5 for 10ml and $10 for 30ml.
The sample packs are good to try a bunch of juices and they have 2 options for sample packs. You can also get extra flavor shots for .50cents more. And if you find a juice your really like you can get a 180ml bottle for $30, which breaks down to $5 for 30, it's an awesome deal.

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping! I so understand the info overload part, takes weeks to go thru it all to make sense, but always something to learn. I watched alot of the reviews videos when choosing juice and ecigs. One highly recommended tobacco juice vendor is Halo, I love their tobacco flavors. Not like a regular cigarette taste, they are way better. Prime, Freedom, Tribeca and Torque are very popular. I vape them everyday and I really like tobacco flavors. I find I am not a fan of desert vapes much but apple pie is really good! LOL Also some fruits I love as well as menthols. Have fun and I would say check out these sample sizes from Halo bnrk :vapor:

Welcome to the forum. I personally only vape fruit & dessert flavors so I can't help you with any recommendations there as the place I get juice from doesn't do "cig" flavors as of yet. However if down the line you decide you want to try any of those I get mine from Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes I love the Cherry Vanilla Swirl especially.

Hi and welcome to ECF. I'm a throat hit fanatic too so that's one of my main considerations when buying juice. As for tobacco flavors, good luck, I have yet to find one that I can vape all day. Plus, I don't want my juice to taste like burning tobacco, cigarettes are really nasty after you've vaped for a few weeks. My favorite juice so far is Vapor Bomb's Coffee flavor, 24mg, 50/50, with cream and sweetener. Awesome TH in this one, but if you want more order it without C & S at 80/20 PG/VG.

Welcome, Thankyouforsmoking -- I have an eGo tank, which i wouldnt necessarily recommend the tank part. I dont use the atomizers that come with the eGo battery. I use either a resurrector or a 306 atty. You get a much better, warmer hit. If you do end up going with Liberty Flights, you said you were looking there, they are SUPER and dont forget to hit that 20% off button at the top left corner of their home page. They are super fast and they stand behind their products. Love em. The only tobacco type flavor that i use is Gorilla Juice from AVE juice. Im not necessarily into tobacco flavors, but i love this one. My only suggestion for you for juice is that when you get a sampler pack, maybe get one that is a type of menthol or mint flavor. To me, that sort of flavor kind of gives me a throat hit of its own. Also higher nic gives better throat hit, as does a higher PG liquid. Since you dont smoke a lot, i really wouldnt go too high with the nic tho.

Good luck!

So many responses in such a short time, I love it! Great info and recommendations so far. Keep it coming. The amount of nicotine also seems to be a trial and error process. I've read posts from heavy smokers who found moderate nic levels too harsh and light smokers who can't seem to get enough of the stuff. I guess the logical thing to do is start in the middle and work it out from there. I think I'm out for the night but keep posting. Having a ton of replies to read tomorrow would be a great thing. Thanks all for the warm welcome.

Remember that no juice is going to taste like a burning cig.
Tobacco juices are tough to find ones you like. A lot of people only want those in the beginning and then realize they don't like them and move on to better juices.
Vaperite has some pretty good tobaccos that people like.
He has a few that he naturally extracts the tobacco and makes juice and I heard his organic tobacco juice is good too.

I don't know if you like coffee, but I find that a lot have vendors have good coffee type juices.
I vape bluemists cafe caramel and love it. I just bought a 180ml bottle of it. Has a subtle coffee taste and a creamy like caramel taste. It's really good and had great TH.

Goodluck on your hunt for juices you like.
Dont get discouraged!
