New guy around here, didn't want to lurk anymore and just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

I'm Dave. :)

Been vaping for a while now, since September, maybe August '13. I wasn't ever really a smoker, always hated cigs. But that never stopped me from having one now and then until I started to literally get sick after a smoke.

I liked the nic buzz though, and would often partake in puffing on the hookah until the aforementioned sickness would take hold.

My lady bought a PV back in '13, and I was immediately intrigued. I was a heavy herbal smoker at the time, and wanted to ween myself off of that as much as possible during the daytime. So when she showed me her eGo-t with an iClear 16, I went and got me a matching unit (in Sharks colors... :2cool:) with a spare iClear to have two different juices at the ready.

I was in love. Working in my home office 90% of the time, I was usually just sitting there all day getting stressed out, waiting for after-hours to have a toke. After starting to use my PV, my stress dropped and productivity increased, and all was well.

Over the last few months, I outgrew that basic setup. The last draw was that my favorite house juice from my local shop (Waffles :vapor:) was burning in my vape pen, turning a dark color and taking on a horrifying taste and throat hit. I knew a mod was in my future, and did a lot of research and review on what was out there.

I decided to pick up an iTaste VTR with a Kanger PT2 to match. I love the variable power, I can dial it in now and get the exact taste that I want which is amazing, and the flavor and vapor production of the PT2 suits my fancy just fine. The iClear 30s also performs well, way better than I expected after using the iClear 16's for so long. I still get a bit of dryness on the end of a long pull with the 30s, but it otherwise has great flavor as well, on par with the PT2 in my opinion.

Anyways, I'll wrap up my long-winded intro by saying thanks to the long-time posters, who I've been gathering lots of reviews and opinions from over the last few months. Glad to have found this place, and looking forward to learning about new vape toys and juices in the future.

Cheers!

That's awesome! You made it off to a great start! The VTR is awesome!

Have you heard of ibtanked ?? Their 19mm XL tanks are a great combo with the VTR. They offer customization for your topper, and who doesn't love making their own custom set-up?? lol this might be a good opportunity for you to compare and contrast an excellent BDC carto-tank with the PT2 and see what suits your tastes better.

Welcome to the forum! Happy vaping!
