That is heartening. And I must add that every newbie must start their foray here. I am yet to encounter a more friendly forum, I cannot imagine the number of times you guys must be repeating these answers for every tyro that comes, me being the latest :D

@HazyShades
Zappa liner notes are legendary - there is so much to learn about the man just from the CD notes. His quirks and quips on those 10 odd pages are legendary, not to undermine the band sometimes who add their own voice to the words. I am still so frustrated with the customs for stealing them. Bet they have never heard of Zappa, imbeciles...
What is that sword omega thingie? And is Tupelo Honey your favourite song? I love those lyrics!
I got a big mouth too and I worry for the eventual Google invasion. They are everywhere and damn its annoying. And neither am I armed, nor am I dangerous. I am simple man with a Zappa bias :D

@stols001
I dont even think paid search engines are beyond them. I tried a paid email service once and though they offer encryption etc, the leak is always possible on the other end when the decryption happens insecurely. I do not think there is any way to escape them other than to stay off the internet but when where oh where will go for all my vaping help????!?!? :D

There are other vaping forums..this is the oldest..and the rules keep the decorum acceptable.
I learned much of what I know (not much) about vaping watching youtube..I was vaping for a couple of years
before I signed up here and that was only to ask a question about fasttech.
------------------
I miss Frank Zappa. He was an excellent musician and had a wonderful sense of humor as well as reality.
It's really too bad that he succumbed to prostate cancer and didn't get a chance to run for office.
He would have made a great president.

I too am a simple man..A sincere man from the land of the palm trees...

My tongue is my most dangerous part..words are wonderful tools of love
as well as excellent weapons in the right mouth.

The sword is the western version of a trishula...with me it's more of a spiritual weapon
which I always say was given to me by an Angel and I sheathe it in my heart.
The Greek letter Omega ( Ω ) is the electronics symbol for resistance.
Resistance is a very important thing for vapers to know and the combination of a sword and the letter
represent my willingness to fight for my right to vape and my resistance to ludicrous non natural laws.

Omega is also the last letter of the Greek alphabet and in Western mysticism A (Alpha, the first letter) and Ω (the last) when side by side as in AΩ represents the beginning and end are one and the same...
Also, it is an appropriate symbol in this age of Kali Yuga (Devanāgarī: कलियुग) .

-------------------
Nothing online is secure. My 16 year old son can hack into almost any site.
If you need encryption use PGP, if you want security use a good password
which includes a mix of alphanumeric characters and change it often.
-------------------
Back to vaping.. :)
Find any goodies?

Wonderful to know another Zappa admirer, sometimes I miss sharing that here, there is not a single human being around me who listens to the stuff I listen to. My tastes are considered "room clearing" !! Has its uses though !

Land of the palm trees as in Brazil?

Thats some deep omega sword stuff sir !! Trishul - the connotations around it are aplenty. And you know your Hindu mythology. Though the Kalki of Kali is just around the corner - my belief !! We have run rampant far too long, enough, no?

I dont particularly care about encryption. Its just that when Google does it, it annoys the crap out of me. They can do me no harm whatsoever, but the fact that they do it just because they can irks me. And yet I use Google day in and day out. Ironic!!

I did find the 4790 switcher mod. Ha Ha. Google switched sides eh?! I guess I am going to compile all local mods I can lay my hands on for now and report back here for the final recommendation. Then I guess, once I get all the stuff I have bought, I can make the final buy. And probably a zenith tank too as it comes so highly recommended. Then I have a cascade and zenith to use with the TC mod, an eGo and a vaporesso battery as my back up. Thats the plan. Your approval?

Your plan of action is similar to what I would do (and have done).. I approve, Sir.

Yes, it is time for a major correction...and my considered opinion is that all myths are based on facts.
Yup, I get deep..I've been spelunking the rabbit hole for years
...ever since I swallowed the red pill Frank gave me

Addendum: Yes, I enjoy Tupelo Honey, both the song and the stuff bees make.
I like most of Van Morrison's songs.
The line "Men with insight, men in granite
Knights in armor bent on chivalry" which I use in my sig represents the way I (and several other people with affinity) try to live, as modern day Knights.

Oh I realized how unsecure computers are the time me and the husband wanted to do a "stealth" check on what the kid was doing on his computer, and somehow the husband was able to drill down into the CPU and retrieve "everything that occurred for the past year." LOL, I don't know how he did it, but I'm glad he sets up our firewall. Or whatever it's called now but nothing is truly safe.

The scariest thing on the kid's computer was the ratio of Anime porn to real porn, I mean there wasn't much of either. LOL, now he's 21 and on Tinder, so I worry about... other stuff.

I also try not to think about it, other than thinking, "I don't want my identity all that much, I don't really think it's high on the list of identities to steal."

To me, the stealing thing is much harder than the "I will bleed you a little bit at a time." I was getting all these microcharges on my card, and like, "It was the kid, purchasing something he felt he needed for whatever game he was playing." LOL. It wasn't and when added up those charges came to several hundred dollars over months and my bank was only willing to reimburse me for some of it that's how far back it went. Annoying? Yes. Credit destroying? I can do that quite fine on my own, thank you very much.

But yeah, it's weird and scary. I find google maps the most useful and scary thing of all. Pretty soon their areal view app is gong to be able to remove the ROOF from houses, then all will be lost.

I gave my son a 'puter when he was 3 yo, Google Maps was great. He could go walk around
and checkout the 'hood from the comfort of his own room.

I have been a victim of ID theft..You won't like it if and when you have to prove your identity to the IRS
then wait a year to get your return 'cause some ID thief filed a return using your SS and ID.
(Now the IRS has to send me a secret pin number to use when I file)

I had a CC thief using one of my CC's to buy smokes at a drug store in Maryland for months before the CC issuing bank got hip and alerted me. (The thief bought smokes in DC at the exact time I bought frozen yogurt at a Walmart in Miami) The bank covered it ..
(The part that really ticked me off was that I'd only used that card to buy ingredients to make vaping juice at one online vendor)

I have no such scary stories to share. All I have is the paranoia :D.
For that matter neither has my identity been stolen and nor has my CC been misused. Wonder why I am acting up so much !! But incidentally today I made a purchase only to later realise the merchant had no "reachable" email address. I blocked off my card, strangely coincidental I thought but identity thefts are not that common here. But then, its easy to hide - there are a billion of us, so who needs identity theft eh??!!

But that 1 year history revealing the porn ratio was hilarious :D

Yeah I never put parental controls on him, I just explained the birds and the bees, graphically when he was three and sort of set him loose. LOL. He had a good time, and even visited 4vchan once but he was a "Brony" during the whole my little pony fiasco and he was like, "OH MY GOD MOM they blow up ponies there and post it DON'T EVER GO THERE." He also, one Halloween, handed out candy and to each family, said, "Vote for Gary Johnson." That was an Awesome Halloween. LOL.

I'm a firm believer in educating your kid correctly then setting them loose. He's really respectful to women for the most part, but sex ed for me consisted of, "You don't have to love someone to have sex with them, sometimes you might not even LIKE them. But, you do have to "respect" them and YOURSELF, and that means not getting them pregnant, not giving them a venereal disease, and NOT writing "Sarah Q phone number (555)555-5555 gives great action on the bathroom walls at school and on your facebook page when she's at home, crying over the breakup." I'm almost scared I traumatized him, but my mom's sex ed was like, "It's okay to have sex if you really love the person, Anna," and that's just really limiting frankly not to mention like, all those times you have sex for other reasons that are JUST FINE. But inside you are like, "my mom said this was wrong."

The one time I got really mad at him was when he gave a homeless chick in the group he was in $5 to reveal her breasts, mainly because I was like, "If you wanted to give her money you shouldn't put conditions on it, dude."

Only I discovered years later that my kiddo had a deep and abiding love for this chick who was a trainwreck of alcohol and drugs, as well as smart and funny and also, had perhaps a touch of Fetal alcohol Syndrome but my kiddo always wants to pick the runt of the litter, I guess. I was like "Why can't you be with her, maybe it would help her?"
He was like, "Mom, you know how it is, if you want to be with someone doing that the only way to be successful at is to drink right along with them or just be miserable."

I was all sad that day, but like, also "My kid must be some kind of Indian Swami to have that kind of knowledge at his age," well to return to the topic at hand which I fully derailed. I will stop I promise. LOL.

Dude...you mean you don't get the guys with the THICK Indian accent call you on the phone
claiming to be a Microsucks tech who needs to take over your desktop because your machine has a virus?

(Honestly I suppose the accent could be Pakistani...LOL) They're usually quite nice until I tell them I'm a Fed and the call is being traced.
("Which machine has a virus, the one I'm surfing with or the one doing a traceroute on your packets?")
Then instead of quickly disconnecting they take the time to insult me...taunting me that I'll never catch them.

Ah, life in the Big Silly.

That was one hell of a post/story/anecdote/<whatever> !!
Kudos to your parenting style. I always, being single (out here that automatically means no kids !!), feel it as an extraordinary experience to know about parenting styles. There are a number of friends of mine who are all so varied in their opinions and each of them have their own merits. But I must say that your brief post is fairly insightful when it comes to yours. Your kid seems like an extraordinary person especially when he is so matter of factly stating something of vivid insight - it is sad admittedly but it is also impressive and cannot help but bring a smile. Touching! Indian Swami - lets call him a rishi :)

@HazyShades
Never sir ! I am a geek when it comes to computers and I manage my own stuff with help only from the internet and forums such as these :D And I run Linux - so no virus dude !!!

Hmmm... should I be taking offense to the "THICK Indian accent"??? Jury it out on that one.... :D

I run several machines. This one is 'Doze, the one doing the traceroute is Linux (Kali variant)
the lapdog is Win10, the workhorse is also 'Doze, son's is a Mac.

Linux safe from malware? Nope.
In 2016:
  • Hackers got in and modified a PHP script that was part of a WordPress installation used by the Mint project.
  • If you used Mint’s download page to find your way to your download of choice, the malicious PHP script would redirect you to an imposter site.
  • The only affected downloads were the versions known as Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon edition. (Each edition has its own look and feel; others versions include MATE, KDE and Xfce, none of which were affected.)
  • The imposter server contained both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Cinnamon, but only the 64-bit version is known to have been hacked.
  • Read: Linux malware - Wikipedia

Yeah, I know about that one. I guess "no virus" is a stretch but then the proportion of the 'Doze viruses to that of the penguin varieties is just too one-sided. Chances are very slim you "catch" one, I guess thats what I meant. Also if you stick to "aptitude" and terminal, I guess you are all the more secure. And coincidentally, I am a staunch Mint user :D

No sir. Though I cannot comment on my accent (but I dont think its that THICK variety!) I certainly dont claim to be anything Microsucks !! So no offense taken...

BTW - in the spirit of the forums that these are - I think I found the first e juice that I love. Unicorm Milk made locally, so affordable (the Cuttwood is so expensive here) but I just love those strawberries and (milk shake?) cream. Yum !!! Good things happening and dense clouds rising :)

Let me know when you're ready to play chemist (or cook) and I'll turn you on to a site that has
recipes to clone most of the popular juice..
It happens I'm vaping a commercial Unicorn Milk Clone right now. It was only 7.95/120ML and since I've been taking a break from my chemistry set I bought some and several other bottles of juice..'French Dude' is highly recommended.

Here's a couple of Unicorn Milk recipes for you:
Sweet Strawberry (CPA) 10 %
Graham Cracker FW 5 %
Sweet cream D&V 3 %
Bavarian Cream FW 3 %
Vanilla Custard CA 2 %

or
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (CAP) 4%
Strawberry Ripe (TFA) 9%
Sweet Cream (TFA) 4%
Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP) 2%
Bavarian Cream (FW) 2%
Dragon Fruit (TFA) 7%
Malted Milk (TFA) 2%
------------------
BTW, Suicide Bunny Mother's Milk is similar, just add some orange, pepper, and dulce de leche flavor

Not all DIY flavors are so complicated, honestly. There ARE a ton of flavors out there. When you are ready for it, this forum will be useful probably, https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forums/diy-e-liquid.38/

Tons of mixing info, juice calculators, recipes and everything else. Most people start slow, they don't acquire all the flavors they own in a day week month, etc. You can pretty much proceed at your own pace and comfort level. Lots of folks start with some simple mixes and/or one shots which are designed to be vaped standalone (although you can tweak them if you want) and shaken, and vaped. There are some really nice things about DIY, but there is also no rush.

Yeah, I suppose there is some fun to be had there. Again, just the getting of all the stuff required is what is intimidating not to mention the costs. I know nothing of what is available locally but I presume its going to be another battle sourcing all this stuff out here. I am currently trying to compile a list of mods I can get my hand on locally. Hopefully once done, I can share that here and get my final mod. That should end up vape kit journey at the least :)

French Dude is like a million bucks here, damn !!
Those recipes.. boy they look complicated :(
And each of those item listed is a flavour concentrate right? And all of this is added to nic? Just curious...
Cooking is a little ways off I suppose !
Like Anna said it's easy when you're ready. Those recipes aren't complicated at all.
You need VG or PG or both, nicotine (in a VG or PG base) if you want it, flavors, a way to measure all that.
A way to mix all that or shake and vape.
Checkout the thread Anna posted a link to..Further discussion of this might get this thread closed or moved by a mod for being off topic.

This French Dude was $7.99 for 120 ml.
See: French Dude by Vape Breakfast Classics E-Liquid 120mL $7.99 - EJuice Connect

but I've seen it sold from $24.99 to $40.
