I'm new here and have a question. I'm currently using a single 18650 mech. mod with a RSST. I am using 7x19 ss wire rope with 500 ss mesh and a 4/5 wrap of 26 ga. wire. which produces about .65 ohms. I ordered a TID Box mod which uses dual 18650's. my question is will my build work properly on this mod? will I need to drop the ohms to .3 or raise to 1.2?

I have a similar setup on my kraken and it's my favorite.

Scy123, thanks and I also have a Kraken. is that ecowool sleeve u use instead of ss mesh?

Yup ekowool sleeve. Haven't tried mesh sleeve yet but I should one day. Setup works great for me I like to chain vape at 0.3ohm and never get a dry hit.

thats another question I have ,how do u get the sleeve over the rope with out it unraveling? have u seen a proper tutorial on it?

I just tape one end of the cable, slide a drill bit through the ekowool and slide the cable in after and pull the tape out. Painting tape works great cause it's not very sticky.

Some people like to torch the ekowool, that does keep it from unraveling, but I find that it makes the ekowool brittle and breaks apart easy so I choose not to do it, I just use more ekowool and cut off whatever unravels.


Torching it turns it from "do not use" to "great to use" But it turns brittle after that.

I think I just found the answer to my first question. The TID box mod runs the dual 18650's in parallel so voltage remains the same.
