Hi, I’m Heidi! New to ECF, relatively new to vaping. I live in a ban state (insanely unfortunate), thinking I’d like to try my hand at DIY! I’d also love to learn more about atomizers/tanks/mods, as pods are becoming increasingly difficult to source here. Currently, my device of choice is a Vaporesso Luxe XR Max with 0.4 ohm coil Luxe X Pods; 3mg 70/30 freebase is my juice of choice. Looking to gain some knowledge and lose the sweeteners! Happy to be here, thanks for having me!

Welcome to ECF Heidi. I spent a lot of my childhood vacationing in Vermont. I even moved up there for a few years after I graduated HS. I lived in N. Shrewsbury, just outside of Rutland.

Really?! That’s so cool! I’ve never met anyone else online who is actually familiar with Vermont lol! Rutland is about 2.5hr south of me; I’m practically in Canada lol. When you said vacation here I immediately assumed Stowe or one of the other ski resorts lol!

Hi Heidi and welcome to the forum. :)

Vermont is a beautiful state. I've been there a few times (years ago). Green Mountain state or as the French said "les monts vert".

I vaguely remember skiing there as a kid. Long time ago.

Theres a lot of DIY stuff here. My specialty is cheap and dirty. Single, cheap candy making flavors sold by the ounce. Freezer nic. I once put my costs with rebuildables and DIY at about $30/mo all in. Was a while ago. Wouldnt be surprised if it was $40/mo or even $50/mo by now. Its not everyone’s cup of tea though. There are also advantages to DIY in getting off nicotine if you need to which is notoriously difficult to do.

Hey! Thank you for the warm welcome!

It certainly does have the natural beauty factor going for it; unfortunately not much else lol. Are you my neighbor in the north (Canada)? I have family in the Calgary area; but I haven’t been up there since they implemented passports or the enhanced license policy. I’ll check those out, thank you!!

So far I’ve only attempted flavoring a premade unflavored 3mg juice (5 different failed attempts to be exact lol). I made an order with BCF a few weeks ago; I wanted a watermelon and a honeydew/cantaloupe juice… didn’t exactly go as planned lol. Hoping I can figure out where I’m going wrong— thankfully I only used 5ml bottles so it wasn’t as big a loss lol.

I worked on Killington for a short while. I slightly injured myself on the job but said I was fine. They didn't want to take any chances and it only took them a week and a half to find a reason to fire me.

Ha, I remember when I moved out of the state, to Virginia. I mentioned to someone that I had just moved there, from Vermont. They said, "Vermont? What state's that in?" My father had a cabin on some property up there, and his parents had some property and a mobile home on the other side of the mountain, and I spent just about every long weekend and holiday up there. It was just the greatest thing.

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve gotten the “what state is that in?” response lol! It’s always nice to meet someone that knows. I was born and raised here, but truth be told I prefer Maine lol.

My brother used to live in Maine. That state, Vermont, New Hampshire (which I've never been to), and West Virginia (where I live now) are certainly beautiful states.

Lucky!! That’s my goal eventually, not far from Ocean Park. New Hampshire is alright, they have more than we do (but everyone does lol); pretty decent concert venue too. I drove through part of West Virginia once lol, on my way to Florida a few years ago— it was beautiful!

I remmember skiing in both new hampshire and vermont. I remember resort names better than state stuff. Was a lot like minnesota but the winters were wetter and there were more and higher hills (minnesota has no mountains). The only ski area is this land fill they kinda piled high and made a slope on. Its kinda facepalmy. Wind breakers aren’t as useful in minnesota and north dakota. Theres actually more wind but its drier so it doesn’t hit nearly as hard. They feel about the same. The east coast has more water while the mid west has lower temps. .. and crap skiing.

Winters here are definitely wetter— this whole year has been so far lol. I’m pretty sure we’re over our average right now for rainfall, it sucks. The only place I’ve been out west is Utah; but I’ve never been much into skiing or snowboarding, just enough to get by when I was younger lol. Heights and me don’t mix!
