I'm here in SC also, from Lexington, and am I really happy to have found this forum. In my area there maybe 7 people I know, who know anything about vaping!!! Wow, this is just great !! Hope to get to get acquainted with all.

Lol, in looking at the members I think I was number 30?? hey but that's ok, Like I said I know maybe 7 people who know about vaping, and 2 of those i work with, and hee hee 1 i sleep with, my DH.....
We are small but we are mighty. The SC forum is still getting off the ground and we're glad to have you with us.

I lived in Lexington/Chapin for over 20yrs before moving back to Sumter to be near my folks. DH and I are seriously thinking its time to move back (he still works in Columbia) and have started looking around Lexington -- it just keeps growin', doesn't it???
I am the only known vaper in Sumter, maybe even Sumter county.
But I've turned on a couple of friends over in Irmo/Lex. Apparently, people across the river are more open-minded, ha ha.

That's if you can stand the traffic. 378 is a nitemare friday afternoons from 3-7pm. But, the backroads are still untraveled so if you know the way, it's still a beautiful drive, especially Corley mill rd. So I don't mind too much!!!

I was there yesterday visiting friends -- took our little people to Monkey Joes!
Corley Mill Rd. has always been one of my favorite drives! Just beautiful... Used to have a little lake shack at Jake's and would drive down Corley Mill, stop by the Pnut man at the dam (nommmm, nommmm New Crop!), then to Lake World (to get worms, y'know, and say "hi" to George the rooster). Boy has that intersection changed over the years!
And, yes, 378 stinks -- I can't imagine it on Friday afternoons -- YUCK.
I'll let you know when we get back, good to know a fellow vaper!

All my kids r too old for monkey joes, so weve never been. i hear it is a really nice place for the kids and the parents tho. im expecting a new grandbaby any day now so i imagine we will be going sometime in the future, long time till then tho, lolol
Wow. I lived in Lexington when I first moved to SC from Ohio wayyyy back in 1977. There was NOTHING in Lexington. To hear you speak of traffic and crowds is a little mind blowing!
It is Madness now, If you haven't been there in oh let's say 5 yrs or so, 378 is nothing like it was, there is now shopping center after shopping center. We are a lot like Harbison around the Mall now. Lights, traffic, and shopping centers. Makes traveling around hard, but now we have a store closer than 15 mins away, well beside the traffic, lol
the whole lexingtion/richland county area has exploded. between the sandhills, the sub divisions, and all the schools in richland 2 alone has made it a nightmare in blythewood.
I drive through Columbia quite often going to see my son and grandson in Charleston. When I lived in Charleston we drove and met family in Cola because it is the 1/2 way point. So I have seen how much Cola has grown but have not been to Lexington in a very long time. There was nothing there. All of the stores and businesses would close at 6PM back in the late 70s. I really did not like living there as a teenager.

I was driving around Lexington with my boys (oldest one has been going to a day camp at Glenforest) and the 378 traffic was something else...decided to do the I20/I26 malfunction junction escape route at one point and my youngest (4yo) yelled from the back seat, "Whooooooo - this is fun, Mama, I didn't know you could drive like that! Tell all them slow pokes to get out of the way -- we are going to WIN this RACE!" LOL -- bet if he were in my old 1992 Corolla that I used to drive around Cola/Lex he wouldn't be feeling so cocky...
Countryboy -- I have a friend who commutes from Blythewood to Irmo (far side of Irmo, the Peak Exit off of I26). OMG, does she HATE that drive...and I hate it for her, but you gotta go where the job takes you... your side of town REALLY has exploded over the past couple of years, too! Blythewood used to be considered "way out there, in the country" -- not anymore!

Old enough to be most of the other mom's mama!It is a very noisy place and it always surprises me how the little babies that are there in their carseats don't seem to care...next time I go, I'll be taking ear plugs!
My SIL just had her 1st grandbaby -- and my SIL is only one year older than me! SIL's children are 22 and 20 yo -- mine are 13 and 4. Of course, my BIL has a 24yo, 22 yo, 3 yo and a newborn (this past Monday). He is the biggest whacko of our bunch, IMO.
Let us know when your new grandbaby gets here! I can tell by your posts you are very, very excited! Congratulations!
I DESPISE Chuck E Cheese -- of course, both my kiddos love/loved it. Sighhhh...
The one here in Sumter stinks more than the one in Columbia. Yes, I know, hard to believe, but so very true.
i must of been deprived as a child, i never went to chuck e cheeses...... prolly cuz i ate like a horse and my parents could only afford to feed me at buffets.
My mother was a manager at showbiz here in Myrtle when i was a toddler, i remember it fondly... after the Chuck E Cheese buyout, she was laid off
