Hi,
Started vaping 2 weeks ago with Halo Triton vape Pen. Really like it and find it very satisfying. Before that I used Blu Cigs which now taste awful to me. Have learned so much reading on here and found out why I had a burned taste first time I filled tank and vaped; didn't know to tilt and let wicks get really wet. Little things like that help a lot and answer my questions until I get more experience.

Vaping is a journey to be sure. Lots of gear and lots of e-liquids to choose from. Don't be afraid to explore but don't get too caught up in it either. Spend more time on your e-liquid choices than your gear. While there are differences in gear, they still all do the same thing....they make vapor. E-liquid is what you taste and that has to be right.

Hello and welcome to the forum @Wytchwood. Glad to have you here!:)

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member @Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.
Nicotine

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subohming (resistance under 1.0Ω) cut these nicotine levels by at least 50%.

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

eLiquid/Juice

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick. Often labeled just "Glycerine"

PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Many juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.

Vaping is a journey, no doubt.

Blu are just dreadful and should really pass into the history books, except they won't as they are an overpriced tobacco company product 'effort' (a poor one too) at getting back the millions of dollars they stand to lose; unless the government steps in and saves the poor tobacco companies, which is essentially what the EU is trying to do.

Blu in the UK is support the banning of over 20mg liquids, refillable tanks over 2ml and essentially want to be the only brand on sale in supermarkets and petrol stations.

Sadly, although Halo are a vaping company, some of what they sell is now old technology and not very nicely priced. The Triton technology was something I used 3 years ago. It works, but just watch out for the running costs.
Oddly enough, some of the latest tanks work out cheaper in the long run, although e-juice consumption can be very heavy indeed.
