Yeah I'd send it back and try a kit with a higher ohm coil a 1.5. I started on the innokin endura t18 kit, downsides were a 2ml tank and 1000 mah battery. The t22 kit came with a 4ml tank and 2000mah battery which was perfect for me using a 1.5 ohm coil. Only had to refill and charge once a day.
There are tons of other similar options out there, clicking on starter kits in any online vape shop will give you the options. I'd also go for a thinner 50/50 pg VG ratio ejuice at first.
If you wanna jump this step an external battery mod starter kit may be the way to go. After 2 months on my innokin t22 I got a pico 75w and LOVE it. I'm still using the t22 tank on it, but similar mtl newbie tanks work just as well.
Once you find the 'right' kit for you, quitting smoking will be so much easier. Its just trial and error
