Hello everyone,

I'm new here but I'm very interested in vaping.

I had smoked for 10 years until 3 weeks ago I purchased an e-lite starter kit.
I haven't touched a cigarette since (completely carcinogen free!).

I'm wondering if someone can give me any advice on what device to maybe use?

I should be receiving 2 SKY CIG starter kits over the next couple of days, but I'm also thinking about purchasing a 510 Titan tank ENIC Kit.

What are your preferences for vaping and getting the perfect nicotine hit?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

D.E

Hello & welcome D.E :)

My advice would be to forget about the ciggie lookalikes - especially e-lites & sky cigs that are way over priced & under perform with poor battery life & get an ego/Riva.

This is a fantastic kit at a brilliant price. the vendor (a registered supplier here on ECF) asked for opinions on for an ideal starter kit at the lowest price possible, on AAE-C UK & he compiled this kit (use discount code ECF10 for 10% off) -

The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Here is a list of other good UK e-cig & e-liquid suppliers -

I'll second what Chrissie said. The cig look-a-likes may get you started on your vaping adventure, but you'll soon be ready for bigger and better things. I have no experience with the Riva/Ego/Kgo models, but they come highly recommended for beginners on this site. No matter what you choose, it's great that you've quite the cigarettes! Congrats, and welcome to the forum!

Thank you very much!

Well that kit looks a LOT cheaper than what I have already spent.

Ok, I'll go for it, once my cartomizers are done I'll purchase this.
Does anyone here use the Riva regularly, or is it just to build up to something better?

EDIT: Didn't see the 2 other posts appear haha.

Thanks Ty89m, it's been surprisingly easy quitting, if only more people gave vaping a chance!

Thank you Vapoor eyes er, I will definitely be checking it out!

It's a shame I didn't stumble across this place a few days ago, I could of saved £86, and got something better!

I will take your advice though, and I appreciate it.

I also got my mother onto the e-lites, as she's been a smoker for 40 years.
I'm happier that she's healthier, I'd try to get her on to a PV but I don't think she'd be up for all the hassle of refilling, she likes the simplicity of screwing a cartomizer on and vaping haha.

I use my Kgo which is the same as the Riva and have distributed almost 80 Kgo starter kits...it's a long story LOL...and not one dissatisfied vaper. I believe most should start out with the Riva as it truly opens the world of vaping. My other PV is a Megalodaon and it's also 3.7 BUT mechanical and tube like. Vendors are always running out of Kgos and that's testament to their popularity. I owned a Provari but gave it to a very good friend as the 3.7 PVs were enough for me and kinda sad seeing the P just sit there gathering dust. See my signature below...:D
Cheers.

You'd be very surprised at some of the new delivery systems. Started with cartomizers, next XL cartomizers, next tank+cartomizer and now clearomizer- easy to fill 2-3 times per day and vape. Very user friendly but first...

So I checked my bank after work at 6:30 am, and ordered the Riva by 7:30... :D

I'm thinking of sticking smokeymizers on there.

Nice one dual :D Hope you ordered some e-liquid as well?

As for your mum, if you think she couldn't cope with refilling cartomisers, then you can buy prefilled ones - 5 for £6.99.

I have 5, 5ml "Sample bottles" coming from totally wicked, but I'll order a 30ml bottle or two once I have some more money haha.

I ordered 38mg nicotine juices, as the 24mg e-lites seem to be quite weak... (Although I enjoy the 16mg menthol e-lites??)

I'm gonna get my mum to have a go on the Riva, to see what she thinks, I've explained a few things about it to her (about refilling too) and she seems keen if it will save her more money.

Yeah, I also noticed the pre-filled cartomizers on the website you linked to, I'll pick some up for her to try also.

@Vapoor eyes er - I saw those reviews, but to be fair the guy on the "pre release" video is heavily using the cart, who actually vapes the way he shows...

I'm a little sceptical about them, but for £9.99 for a five pack, it may be worth trying.
I just want something I won't have to refill every 10 minutes lol.

True and although I've never used them a few friends asked for some help with them, I took a look and just found them very finnicky- never did get them working to their satisfaction. Just giving you a friendly heads up.

.
I began with Boge cartos, next Smok Tech 1.7 XL cartos, next carto+ tank and now finally the V2 clearomizer. I was out this a.m. for about 5 hrs and the one tank lasted me perfectly and I was vaping heavily. Tank+ carto was great but I wanted something without the filler/ stuffing. Apparently the V2 are rebuildable so I'll prolly try that just out of curiosity.
Cheers.

I appreciate it mate!

I've heard quite a lot of people mention Boge carts, I'll just try a few things to see how they last me.

A regular e-lite cart can last me 1-2 days (I use the menthol carts more), I have no idea how much juice they put in these though.
But I'm trying to make my carts last as I'm down to 1 regular, and 1 menthol (full) and I'm around halfway though a regular on one of my batteries.

I just hope my Sky Cigs (Or atleast my juice so I can temporarily refill the e-lite carts) turn up tomorrow so I have something to tide me over until the Riva is delivered.

You're always welcome. Standard cartos are .08- 1 ml, XL cartos are 1.8 ml and then there's XXL which I have no idea of how much but I believe it's close to 3 ml. I never bought the Vision Stardust V1 Clearomizer because I heard about too many problems. V2 seems to be fine. I run a vaping prog at a shelter and am responsible for using donations as efficiently as possible because of the large # of clients. It's very important I test and evaluate before buying this stuff and so far so good...fingers crossed. So far including hardware and juice we've distributed over $4,000.00 of stuff. You will LOVE your Riva and the Skycig will be a nice backup. It really sounds like you're making some great headway already. Just remember with any plastic tanks/ clearos, etc cinnamon and citrus based juices will crack them. The new ones are supposed to be better but time will tell.
Cheers.
