I'm new to e-cigs. received a coupon about 3 weeks ago for a free Mark10 e-cig. It didn't seem that great, but was enough to get me curious. By the end of the week I had picked up a Blu classic tobacco disposable. One draw and I knew I my next step. After some online research on Blu, I decided I was going to pick up one of their Blu+ kits from the store. It was like $42. I didn't think that was too bad, rechargeable pack, 2 batteries, and 3 disposable tanks equivalent to about 6-7 packs of smokes.

I have been a smoker for about 25yrs. Once I picked up the kit I went analog cig free. Today is day 14! :)

So far I have been quite happy with Blu, and have tried several flavors. Vivid vanilla is my favorite so far. I know there are other options out there and hopefully I'll learn from this community how to get the best bang for my buck.

As a newbie, I like the ease and convenience that Blu has offered. Basically no maintenance, a case that keeps my spare battery charged, disposable tank-carts, and free shipping from their web site.

Well that's my story so far, look forward to leaning from all of you.

I started with blu when the technology they used was still more primitive. For awhile it worked for me really well. The important thing is that you have something that works for you. Many people switch to other stuff as they get more comfortable with e-cigs but not everyone. Simplicity has a place, and for many people it is a very important factor in what kind of device they like.

I became a hobbyist, I built a mech mod, then bought one then got a great regulated mod and wind my own coils etc. If that sort of thing interests you there are huge numbers of options for it.

If you like plug-and-play devices the options are also very numerous with more coming out every month. It's a great time to get into vaping the tech is widely available for every way you might want to use it.

For ease of use and a longer battery life many people like the joye ego batteries. They provide a good deal greater charge than a blu and as long as you buy a real one from a reputable source they last a long time and they are inexpensive. In the plug and play market a company called Aspire, is very popular, they make several levels of tank with replaceable coils. For ease of use and form factor on an ego I like their bdc tanks. The also make a tank called the Nautilus, its very popular but larger in diameter than a ego battery.

As far as coil making and mods the sky is the limit. Since your new I would suggest staying away from mechanical mods until you have done some research. There are inherent safety concerns you should look into, if it's a topic that interests you you can learn what you need to on the forums and through time spent looking into the subject in a reasonably short time but you have to learn it to use these devices safely.

Regulated mods, the kind with adjustable wattage, voltage or both, are very popular, there are many kinds and most of them work work very well. With the right tank that uses replaceable coils they are as easy to use as anything and provide some options that many people feel improve their vaping experience. They also don't require as much research to use, though you should do you homework about which one to buy based on your sense of style and the quality of the device you like.

There are so many amazing flavors and so many good pieces of tech out there. They all offer different experiences, and many have found combinations they love. but like I said, The important thing is that you have something that works for you. Whatever keeps you away from analog cigarettes, that you enjoy is a good piece of equipment for you!

Welcome to the forums and congrats on quitting! Keep it up!
