Hi everyone. Just want to say that I love your forum! I've been exploring here for the last few days and I've already learned a lot about a subject I had zero knowledge of just last week. I don't smoke, but I've been dipping for probably 30 years. That's something I need to deal with at another time.

So why am I here? My wife. She's been smoking probably close to 30 years herself and it's taking a toll on her. She is telling me she has to quit or I'm going to lose her. That's enough to kick-start me into action. She's tried the pills and patches and read the books, but it hasn't helped. She's the one that brought up e-cigs and asked me to find out more about them.

My wife has always been one to just want to get something and use it. Right now. No delay. I'm the one that investigates, compares, looks at reviews, looks for a deal, reads the instruction manual. You get the picture.

Anyway, after snooping around these forums I've decided (and she agreed) to try out the eGo from Cignot. And it has to be pink, lol, or we would've taken advantage of the 4th of July sale at Nicotine Nirvana. I just couldn't see buying something like a "Quantum e-cig" that we saw down at the mall last weekend without knowing a thing about e-cigs and how they work.

I'll be placing her order next week and I'm sure I'll be back here digging up new info.

Good for you! Both for helping your wife to kick the cigarette habit and for checking out this forum before you got taken across! She should be happy with the eGo. there is a little bit of a learning curve with these things, but there are plenty of people here to help you out. Don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome to ECF, Lord Thanos!

I hope the eGo helps your wife give up cigarettes. They have helped a lot of us here say goodbye to them, something I personally never thought I would be able to say. It's been a year since I gave them up and I find ecigarettes much more enjoyable than cigarettes ever were.

Cudos for being such a supportive husband and researching them for your wife. I hope to see you around the forums.

Hello Lord Thanos & Your Lady Love !

Your Lady sounds just like my ex-husband and his family! Not A Bad Thing! lol
Just I've always had to do all of the research and testing for others.

The only time it gets bad is when I need to sleep and people think I can go on and on ,,,,,,,just like the Energizer Bunny!

In this case I'm the one who has to quit the analogs and I know just how she feels !

Please let her know for me that if I can do it, She can do it also!

Honestly this is the first time in nearly 20 years that I can say I really believe that I'll never go back to using another analog. God Forbid! There is a big difference when you realize what it's like to be able to breathe again after all those analogs!!!!!

It might take a little adjusting but I'm here to tell you that over the last 10 years I've had everything that the Doctors could prescribe or make me try, pills, patches, gum, ctx, bio-feedback, and nothing worked.

This is the first time I feel Free from the drudgery of being chained to the analogs.

I might be relatively new here, but I'm not new to the world of research or knowing what the chains of analogs are all about. I've attended the funeral of more than 1 friend -- not to speak of a few close relatives -- because their lifelong addiction to analogs and chewing tobacco! Yes.......also the chewing stuff! And, here I sit trying to escape the same analog traps.

This time I know I'll make it! And Your Lady Love and You Will Also!

Smiles

Thanks everybody for the support and well wishes! That means a lot to me.

I hope everybody has a great holiday weekend and I'll be around trying to soak up some of the vast amount of information that I'm just starting to scratch the surface of. One of my goals will be to get my wife involved in this forum. She gets frustrated easily and I think she will need the encouragement that you guys have already demonstrated to me. It's always easier to do something hard when you know you're not the only one who's going through it. God bless you all!

Echoing the welcomes and adding that you should get her some decent juice.
A lot of newbies fail not because ecigs have a learning curve (all new things do after all) but because they get god awful cheap as chips juices that taste like .....
Find out her fave flavor preferences, then come here and get some recommendations.
The pre-filled carts that come with the eGo kit are 'ok' but not stellar; cignot (love em) do some much better juices in their BASIC range. Then there's places like tasty vapor and DIYFlavorshack, MsTs and vikingvapor, vaporstation, myfreedomsmokes (and more) all are forum faves and are all in the US.

Hi Lord, In circles of women, you'd be considered one of the *good ones*

The fact that she seems to have a desire to quit will make this so much easier. You can help her by troubleshooting the technological problems that always seen to arise at first. It's a bit like your first cell phone or computer, same kind of frustration till you get the hang of it. Also, if it looks like she's going to take to it, order extra supplies so she never runs out. It's easy to do when you have to take shipping time into account. The only smokes I bought after I started using the e-cig was when I ran out of juice before the mailman arrived. (Check out the treads about mailman stalking, we here at ECF have developed it into an art-form)

Hi and welcome to the forum. I, too learned so much in a short time here more than anywhere else.

I have had my PV for just over a week and while I haven't quit the evil analogs yet, I have cut down significantly and am quite confident that I will quit soon. Personally, its taking me a bit to get used to vaping but I feel like I'm progressing positively every day.

Good luck to you and your wife. With the support you'll find around here, I'm sure success will be well within reach.

Take care,

Rob
