I am quite new to all this, but i am learning fast (i hope). I think i have made a couple of mistakes already. i got a bit carried away and have been rushing to get this right but i think i need to slow down a bit. First i bought a couple of disposables but they are limited and cost quite a lot as well. But in fairness i figured well its got me off cigs so fine. Then i found a uk website called liberro and they have been helpful etc i pre ordered a Johnsons creek vea from them and a sample kit of JC smoke juice. fine but i knew i would have to wait and being me i couldnt so i started faffing about the uk sites etc. I found e cig wizard and i like them a lot, i bought a smok tech epower 18650 batt mod, which came in a kit with 2 batteries, 3 dual coil wotsits, (are they cartomisers?) and the like. i also bought some juice 24 mg usa red blend which blew my head off, but i liked it, the other two were absinthe 18% which i love and a smooth tobacco which i havent tried yet. Well i absolutely love this thing love it. then the vea rolled up and i cannot get the same vape or whatever out of it at all. It is fine but the carts are burning up , i am definately not over loading them when filling and they are fine for a couple of drags then burn, and i am forever cleaning the battery thread. anyway i dont know what i am doing wrong with that, but i love the JC flavours. Sorry i appear to be waffling now,, anyway i have bought a couple of different liquids to try too and a really cheap PCC kit and a keyring mini thing in case as back up. I cant see myself being satisfied i have been looking at the offer on the volcano website for the chrome lavatube i hear there is a new one out shortly though. Any advice anyone can offer would be gratefully accepted. I promise i will be a good forum member. I am a bit skint til next month anyway now. so i need to save up!! i just think for what i have spent i could have bought something amazing, actually the e power i think is bargain, but who knows.

Sounds like you have been spending all-out though. Vapping isn't going away any time soon...just take your time and enjoy the ride.
Thanks for replying. I dont think it actually has absinthe in it, sadly just the flavour sort of aniseed and licquorice. mmmm need another toke now

I have a question though, you say your threads are getting gunky? Do you blow out your cartos after you fill them and before you put them on the battery? Maybe you are flooding it?

The E-Power is a great PV and fires at 3.7 volts.
Just a shot in the dark but the Vea batteries are only 2.8 volts- IMO not powerful enough. There's also the PG/ VG ratio of your juice. If it's VG heavy than wicking could be a problem. Standards are 70/30 or 80/20 PG/VG.

I have had issues from the second cart on , i have tried blowing them wiping the thread and all sorts of stuff , best results were to use a srynge and leave it stood in the condom thingy for 12 hours . i am not usually that well organised and it s a faff still am vaping away on my batt mod. so its not all bad. thanks for replying. i only put 1 ml of juice in so i doubt i was flooding it but still learning. cheers bumble

Yep i think you are right as i am now ,dare i say it, used to blasting away on the e power and the vea is more ahemmmm ladylike or sedate if you will. the only thing i have tried that works is to fill the carts with a needle and then leave them for ages like 12 hours so not one to use on the go as it were. I am thinking of going vv already toying with a lava tube chrome any advice ?? anyone>>.
The advice for your E-Power would be to get another button- not immediately but sometime down the road. I've got 2 friends that own one and after 6 and 7 months the button messed up. Also dual coil cartos are really not meant for 3.7 volt PVs. They're really meant for higher voltage PVs. Try Boge 2.0 or, my favorite, Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil cartos aka The Resurrectors- Boges hold 1 ml while the ST XL holds 1.8 ml. I now use Stardust and Vivi Novas BUT still enjoy my ST 1.7's. And this is how I fill my cartos. Key is to push the carto down into condom very slowly and proper first fill will dictate how long the carto lasts. After the first fill, when needed, just drip some drops into top of carto until the filler looks grey and slushie
As for a VV PV most find their sweet spot at around 4.2- 4.5 volts. The Twist is an economical way to get started- fires from 3.3-4.8 volts- comes in 650 or 1000 mah. 100 mah= 1 hr vaping before recharge. Be aware the 1000 is quite long. The Lavatube= Lambo= KnightRider= VTube...they're all the same PV. When shopping for a "LavaTube" just be aware there are different versions out there...that's the reason some vendors are sold out- they're waiting for the new version.
Thanks vapoor eyes er , i am a bit confused there are two sites i have been looking at for a lava tube, volcano, and a uk site called e cig wizard who sell a version made by olympian. ?? i dont know what the difference is to be honest. kits vary a bit so its hard to sort out. I got some boge LR carts to try with the e power and that works a treat. Thanks for taking the time to give your advice it is much appreciated .
