i'm not exactly new to the forums... been a lurker for a LONG time doing research and what not. i switched from analogs to e-cigs, about last december. i've been an on and off smoker for about 12 yrs... maybe 1-2 packs a week. and seriously, after finally switching to e-cigs, i feel SO much better!

anyway, i started with LOGICS e-cig and while it def helped me get off analogs, i just wanted something more economical and overall better. so this past february, i went ahead and got the VAMO after watching p. busardo's review. WOW... what a difference! i started with a tank but this past monday, i got the aga-t+... i was kinda disappointed (lots of vapor BUT no flavor what so ever!!!).

now tho, omg... i wrapped less coils (using 32 kanthal right now) with 400 ss, tightly rolled so it's a solid wick and flavor started to come out. then i got cheesecloth and wrapped the top part of my wick (followed rip tripper's video) and now I GET IT... the flavor and vapor is AMAZING! i would say i almost gave up with the genesis style atty's but the truth is, i'm stubborn and i wouldn't have given up.

so next after getting this far, i'll try working on my coil so maybe i wouldn't have to use the cheesecloth

here was my very first go at wicking and coiling: (this one sucked... used ss that came with aga-t and it has the hole in the middle. lots of vapor but no flavor!)

and this is what i'm vaping with now: (amazing! solid 400ss wick with cheesecloth, 1.9 ohm, and wicks like a champ. full vapor and flavor!)

anyway, i just want to say hello again and thanks to all the contributors of this forum. definitely helped out with my quest for the 'best' vaping experience

Nice. Have a 28g/8 wrap going 1.5ohms. Really liking it.

Queso cloth is next.

Certain juices I prefer in my aga-t2 others in my EVODs...

I've found with SS wicks you really need to have a " hot" coil. The additional wicking of the cheese cloth might eliminate that need..

i bought 400 ss, 32, and 30 kanthal from steammonkey to try them out. i'm about out of the 32g so i'll be using the 30g 'soon'.

i know i'm still new but i definitely recommend the cheesecloth method. i get NO hotspots AT ALL! and you're right. without the cloth, i think my wattage was at 9. but with the cloth, i drop it down to 8 watts now and i get the same, or maybe more vapor.

i think i might go ahead and order 500 ss and see how that goes. i'm definitely loving the solid wick vs the hollows. i wasn't really sure why people use hollow wicks because physics wise, i just assumed the solid wick is better at wicking. and i'll probably order some 28g wires to try out as well.

RBAs are somewhat finicky and require some experimenting. A little patience and you will have the best vaping experience ever. They are definately not for everyone.
