Hi Everyone!

Nice to meet you all! I decided to join this forum because I am a smoker, and want to quit by switching to vaping. I have tried it in the past, about 2 years ago, but didn't like it because it felt too hard to pull a drag from and the vapor I got from it wasn't enough for me when I exhaled. The E-Cig I tried was called "The Duo" which I got at a smoke shop for $100. I am willing to spend a lot more, possibly around $200-$400, on a new E-Cig which will satisy my needs and help me quit smoking cigarrets. Does anyone have any sugesstions for me? I am looking for an E-Cig with an easier pull and one that will give me a decent amount of vapor on the exhale. Any suggestions are very much appreciate! :)

Thanks everyone! :toast:

Look around and shop some of the vendors here on ECF. You wont need to spend nearly as much as you did the first time ad still get a much better device. Things in the vape world have improved dramatically since you tried last.

I am not going to give you advice because you will end up with so much you will be confused about it all. Go read and form your own opinions.
Have fun and Welcome back!

Hi Shreck, thanks for the warm welcome! :) I'm not worried about it looking like a cigarette, the first E-Cig I got looked like that but I'm not worried about that this time. I am more worried about the amount of vapor I will get and how long the battery will last. I was already browsing the forums and came across this from another person's reccomendation. What are your thoughts on this?

Kanger evod clearomizer will give you plenty of airflow and vapor for about $6. I use it with a vision spinner $24. Check them out. Goodluck!

Thanks dcslaps! I'm sorry for the dumb question, but what is a clearomizer? That is what holds the juice, right? I've already been looking at the spinner and it looks great. The spinner has an adjustable battery so you can adjust the amount of vapor you get right?

I smoked tobacco cigarettes for more than 52 years. Found out about ecigs about 3 years ago. Threw a bunch of money at a few devices, most of what weren't what I needed. When I started vaping I had been smoking 2.5 packs a day. That's pretty much all the time cept showering and sleeping. And vaping was no different, I did it all the time. Means either lotsa little batts or a couple large batts. Finally the ProVari came along. My first, I preordered and waited at least a month for it to arrive. I've been DIY my juice from the start. Ordered PG and VG in gallons, so cost per ml was almost nill. There's a few large bat mods out there, but the ProVari worked for me. I started vaping to quit smoking. Now, I've quit smoking and quit vaping. I can't really advise you on what to get. The last year and a half I vaped I didn't buy any supplies because I'd ordered liquid in gallons and coils by the hundreds. Good luck with your quest to quit. I'm living proof one can quit smoking tobacco using ecigs.

Cheers,
otrpu

Be prepared to get bombarded with opinions...I am a dedicated budget vaper so I would recommend starting practical. Ego Twist 900mah or Vision Spinner 900 or 1300fat topped with Kanger T3's with 2.0ohm coil.

Get 2 of everything....starting cost just under 90 bucks.

Vision Spinner Joye Ego-C Twist Combo

What do you mean by 2 of everything? The kit is $69.96, so wouldn't that be around $140? Thank you so much for your help! :)

Can a Kanger cartomizer be used with a vision spinner battery?

Hi -- yes it can. The Vision Spinner has the same threading as an eGo type of battery:

The combo kit from My Vapor Store is probably the best deal for a kit currently around.

I am definitely going to order this: Vision Spinner Joye Ego-C Twist Combo

What else should I order to go along with it? I am assuming juice and will I need anything to help me fill the clearomizer with juice?

You will need juice ;) but taste is so subjective it's hard to offer recommendations. A few things though:

1) There is no e-liquid that tastes just like a cigarette.
2) When you quit smoking your senses of taste and smell are going to change as they heal. You may not be able to taste many flavors at the beginning. Even after that, flavors you like one day, you may not like the next.
3) Don't dismiss menthol and mint flavors because you didn't smoke menthol cigarettes. Vaping is a different experience and they don't taste the same. Also, menthol and mint are often easier to taste at the beginning.

Due to all of the above, sample packs of juice are a good way to start - and try a variety. Flavors I never thought I would like have turned out to be some of my favorites.

ETA: And you really don't need anything to fill regular clearos, although needle caps can make it easier. And having a blunt tip syringe in your kit is helpful.

Empty Plastic Bottle with Needle Top - 10ml
Luer-Lok 20 Gauge Blunt Tip 1.5" - Yellow
3 ml Luer-Lok Syringe
