Hello everybody this is the one and only Snap! I have been lurking around a bit and, as I started using the E-cig for a week now, thought I would go ahead and register with the forum. I started with the 510 and have to charge my battery all the time. Is this something you have to do? Is there any way to get a battery that frigging last without spending all your money on one of those expensive battery modifications? If I have to spend that much on a battery that works, I want some written guarantee that I'm not buying crap like so many vendors sell. Is that the way to go? Let me know how to deal with a crappy battery that has to be charged every other hour.

You could always check out the eGo or the Tornado...they are both the same...it's a 510 on steroids, lol. One battery will last me all day and I loooooooooove my eGo!!! You could just buy a battery or two and the cones that go on them instead of the set if you wanted too. That's my recomendation any way and welcome!

    Somewhere between here and there
There are the 510 mega batteries available from different vendors that are rated at twice the mah(milli amp hours) of the standard ones. I too started out with a standard 510 and quickly got tired of the battery swapping also. You might want to look in the battery mod section of the forum. There is an instructional on how to build a nicostick or perhaps just buy a mod from a vendor. There are many good ones out there and everyone has there favorites. If you give us some information on what you would want in a mod besides a longer lasting battery, then maybe we could make some suggestions based on that.

OOOOOO SNAP! yea the batteries on these things suck. I got my starter kit last saturday, it came with 2 batteries and 2 attys, i ordered an extra battery with mine thank god, cause if im out all day i use all 3. I ordered a personal charger case too, should be here soon. It was liek 25 bucks on cignot.com. You might also wanna look into the USB passthrough, that way you can charge your battery and still vape thru the USB port on the computer. Im getting the USB passthru and a USB->cigarette lighter adapter, so anytime im in the car i can vape with the USB passthru. The batteries don't last long at all tho, you learn that quick!

None of the vendors here sell crap.
And NONE of the big battery mods are crap as far as I have heard.

    Sorry, had to do it.
    :D

I think crap is a relative term depending on the user. I don't know about anyone else but I have bought mods that I did not like so in a sense they were crap to me. I think most of the mods are fairly well made but it is hard for each person to find one that suits them.

Do you want a 3.7v mod or a high voltage mod? I have been very happy with my screwdriver from trog for a 3.7v pv. I do have an xhaler also that you can use with a 3.7v battery or two 3v batteries. It has been a good unit for me. Drew at nhaler is pretty responsive and good to deal with. I have also heard good things about the chuck, silver bullet,GG,prodigy, and a few others.

It looks like I better start thinking about trying my luck with a battery mod, this constant charging batteries is NFG. Who stands by their modification and guarantees it will work, I can read the threads about people getting screwed over ordering high priced garbage.
I don't know about anyone else, but the Chuck comes with a one year warranty.
And I can promise you the guy that makes them stands behind them 100%.

If anything at all happens to your Chuck, even if it's entirely your fault, he'll fix it right away.

Instead of getting an expensive batt mod right away, I suggest getting a USB passthrough. That way you can vape off of your computer's USB port rather than the short-lived regular batts. There are two types of 510 PTs: one which uses a batt in an inline box, which powers the atty, and the USB port continually charges the batt, so you can vape many hours while on a USB port.

    Joye Passthru

The nice thing about the batt-type PT is that it will vape a long time offline, since the batt is about 400 mAh, so is longer than a 510 mega batt (which are also very good).

The other kind of PT has no batt box, and uses the 5V USP to directly power the atty.

USB Pass Through for Joye510 (Manual Switch) - $13.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

For about $20 or less, this is another possible solution. The technology is such that the attys need batteries that can really put out the voltage and wattage, and this is still a challenge with most stock PVs, not just the 510. The batt mods are generally very good, last a long time between charges, but are pricier.
