I have been using disposable cigarettes for a week now and I am currently waiting for what I ordered to come! I had a few questions though. After doing some research I find out that some fruity flavors crack ce4 clearomizers. That is what is coming with the stuff I ordered. I was really looking forward to ordering some blueberry and other fruity flavor e juices and now I am wondering if I should order a glass tank as well? I was looking at the kanger mini pro tank and the anyvape davide mini pro tank. Are there any others that would work with an ego battery? (I purchased two of them) Also, should I buy two tanks to have a back up? Or anything else? I am so clueless to all of this and with so many options it is REALLY overwhelming! :(

Welcome to the forum! There's a saying around here. Back up your back ups. I have 4 glass tanks and 5 polycarbonates. The Mini Pro is a good choice, imho, and so is the Protank II. Not familiar with Davide myself but haven't heard anything negative. I vape a lot of blueberry myself with no problem in any tank. Cinnamon, menthol and acidic flavors like maybe citrus? don't play well with poly's.

Good luck and Happy Vaping!! :vapor:

Add: Almost forgot. Picked up a Aspire ET S bdc (bottom dual coil) http://vp-wholesales.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=102&search=Aspire at a convention this weekend. It's glass and ego threading. The Protank II is 510 threading and might look funny on a ego battery, if that matters to you. :D

The mini protank is a dang nice choice for an EGO battery. I had my wifes ego setup (now vision spinner) with one, then I got her an AGA-S, which is a miniature RBA. Much more difficult to setup than my RSST, and I wouldn't advise it on an EGO till you get more advanced, or get an ohm checker, because the tank gets a lot of shorts during the builds until you get it just right.

If your a true newbie, those words may make more sense later though, PM me if you have any questions. The protank II mini is a really good tank and puts out a surprisingly nice amount of vapor. Probably not necessary to bother with backup protanks, just the replacement atomizers. Which you can rebuild if you get crazy into it, but its hard

I don't think flavors like blueberry or strawberry will crack your tank, it's cinnamon and citrus/orange that I would be wary of.

I have had many fruit flavours in "plastic" tanks and clearos and have never had a problem so far. I only have 2 toppers that are not plastic and only use one as I find the pro tank 3 that I have to be lack lustre at best. I am kind of worried about one day cracking/melting a tank but have not had any problems yet.

YMMV and many people love the pro tank series.

For ego batteries, the best I've found so far are the protank 2 and innokin iclear 30s. The protank is bottom, the iclear is a dual top coil if you have a preference on what you'd want to try. As for worrying about flavors, I love me some fruity flavors and all but 2 of my tanks are plastic. You'll be fine, just avoid cinnamon and some citrus flavors. Most places will let you know, if not, just ask.

I am about to get my first cinnamon flavour from MBV. Is it a juice that will finally end my lucky streak with not hurting my plastic toppers? I have a kayfun that I could use in all stainless mode if it is going to cause problems.

Sorry to thread jack but I feel it is still on topic with the OP.

Thanks.

cinnamon is known to crack/melt plastic tanks, I wouldn't use it till I got a glass tank :) not sure what a kayfun is, but yes if its all stainless steel you will be ok

I appreciate everyone's advice! I think I will just go with what is coming in the mail and see how they work out. If not, I'll pick up a couple different glass ones and see which ones work the best. (now that I have a few different ones to try out!) I am only planning on the fruity flavors like strawberry and blueberry. Maybe blackberry. Not really into orange, cinnamon or red hots. Thanks for everyone that commented! It is truly appreciated :)

Thanks for the reply. I have had good luck with not destroying plastic tanks so far and don't want to push my luck.

Never heard of a kayfun? You are missing out if you know how to rebuild!

I don't know if I am allowed to post a link yet but here we go:

Kayfun Lite plus - Kayfun Lite plus

Check it out! My best vape to date!

yes theres the smoktech aro. just about everything works with ego battery.

the known tank crackers are cinnamon and citrus; and stuff that dosnt literally crack your plastic or foggy it might still be slowing reacting with plastic, so good idea to get glass/ pyrex.

i use 4 protanks.
i also have 11 miniprotanks, and maybe 5 evods most of which came tossed in with something else I was buying; they all use the same replaceable atomizer head.

turns out i never actually used my miniprotanks because i just use the base from them and put them onto my protanks! wish i'd of known that before i bought them, i'd have just bought the bases.

First, don't panic. ;)

My understanding is it's mostly the more acidic fruits, the citruses. Lemons, oranges, and such. I know blueberry and banana are fine. Especially blueberry. I'm nuts for blueberry. :) I've vaped tons of blueberry in all kinds of combinations and never had a problem. Haven't found a cherry I like (though cherries are second only to blueberries with me) but the ones I've tried didn't hurt the clearo.

Do watch out for cinnamon. Particularly "hot" versions. Like this one: Fire & Ice. I love the stuff. Could not get a coil head for my one all metal clearos (one of the polar vortex storms delayed every shipment that passed through Dallas, the biggest hub we got). So I bought a cheap CE-4 so I wouldn't risk my EVODs or CE5s (or 4+ or whatever they call 'em this week, nobody seems to agree on which is which :) ). The poor thing literally fell apart in about a day and half. So, yeah, "hot" anything, I'd use glass or metal.

I've seen some say wintergreen is risky but I "all day vape" wintergreen frequently. I've had no trouble. Same with spearmint.

Oh yeah, lately I've become fond of kiwi. No problems so far.

Anything acidic or "hot" seems risky with polycarbonate. But non-citrus fruit? I'm coming up on a year with this vape thing and I haven't had a problem. And I'm a fairly heavy vaper. I average about 6ml a day. A clearo wrecking juice is gonna show itself fairly fast. Like that poor little CE4. :)

I'd be careful with cinnamon. I melted a clearo with a "hot" cinnamon juice. Love the juice but, wow, it wrecked that clearo bad...

Reading the description, I found "polycarbonate window (additional middle section of the composite tank)". I'd be leary.
