George, I may be in a minority, but I have two Aerotank v2 minis, and I like them fine on my spinner batteries. For most juices, I get better vapor on the Spinner than I did with my nautilus -- I like the more open draw. Someone mentioned getting 4-5 days on a coil. I'm not sure what I'm getting, but it's definitely under a week. I don't get leaking, so much as reduced/bad flavor and reduced vapor. Sweet juices reduce coil life and I vape things like "Twinkie" so, yeah...

If you like the Aerotank when it's working well (i.e., when it has a new coil), you might consider rebuilding the coils. I've done it, but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it. There are videos that make it look easy (look for the one by Rip Trippers), but I found it difficult having never built a coil before. I watched a lot of videos, read a lot on safety, got the basic stuff I needed and then sat down and did it. I was VERY motivated, having accidentally disassembled every coil I owned. It took me four hours altogether -- three hours to rebuild the first one, and another hour to rebuild five more.

I guess I put that out there as something to think about. After purchasing the tools you'll need (ohm meter or multi-meter ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL), if you like tinkering, rebuilding a coil will cost pennies. And, these would be the same tools and materials you'd need if some day you buy something that was actually meant to be rebuilt.

Best of luck to you in finding what works.

Thanks for the advice :) I've got a multi-meter so that's a start, I have read on rebuilding the coils before I signed up here, thought id get a second opinion on what I should do :)

I built my as a single vertical coil, instead of the dual horizontal coils. There are several videos on this -- Rip Trippers and (I think) Bill Bottoms.

I'll share a my issues with the process, in case it helps.

It was probably a mistake to buy a small, inexpensive pen torch, although it might have worked well if I had three hands. I needed one had to hold the coil in the tweezers, one to hold the torch, and another to light the torch. As I fiddled with the torch, my grip on the coil would change, and it would begin to bulge out in the middle. If the torch was free standing or didn't need a lighter it would have been much easier. As long as it didn't deform too much, once it got hot, I could slip it back on whatever I used as a jig and it (more or less) went back into shape. I did the same thing a second or third time, until it was finally even and tight.

The videos are done with extreme close-ups, and I think I lost perspective and was using way too much wicking material. My first coils looked like deformed marshmallows. I used something called Cotton Bacon, which comes in loose, fluffy strips, all fibers going in the same direction. If you use cotton that comes in sheets this wouldn't be an issue, but i found it helped to saturate a strip with e-liquid, and then I more or less sculpted it into a rectangular strip -- 4mm in wide, 1/2-1 mm thick, and about 8-9 mm in length -- almost like a ribbon. Then it was fairly easy to get a consistent wrap around the coil.

Once you've got the coil reassembled, you may need to tap give that top stick a firm tap to get it to sit flush again.

That's all I can think of. There are very detailed videos out there with much more articulate advise. Good luck.

Bought myself some new dual coils for my aerotank to see how they fly, So far theyre amazing, Using 1.5 ohm coils at 4-5 volts pleases me. Also got myself a bottle of BordO2 Gentlemen potion in 0.3mg nic. THIS JUICE IS AMAZING. Thats just my preference, Its like marmite, you love it or hate it. cocoa, freshly baked biscuits and caramel. yummy. The vapour production really isnt an issue now, Im blowing quite satisfying clouds now :D

I'm glad it worked out for you. I really like my Aerotanks, too. They hold their own against my new RTA. I ended up with them almost by accident. Once I got a Nautilus, I couldn't go back to the Aspire ET-Ss I was using. By chance I found the Aerotanks on sale for $10 (alas, no longer), and was surprised how much vapor I got.

Marmite must be a UK thing. I was thinking after I posted that you might not know the horrors that are Hostess Twinkies, either. Yellow sponge cake, with a whipped sugar/shortening (could be lard) filling. Reported to have a shelf life exceeded 20 years.

I assume you're saving your old coils. Please do post should ever try your hand at rebuilding. I'd love to hear how it goes for you.

Hey guys :)
I was 16 when I got my first E-cigarette and I instantly fell in love with making big clouds of vapour, being a smoker at 16 was terrible so it was good that I had this substitute. But inevitably it broke as it was just a cheapy £10 vaper so I went back to smoking, two years passed and about three months ago I got a Itaste vv/vw 3, worked nicely with an aspire Dual coil bottom feeder until the battery malfunctioned and died, just recently moved up to a 1000MaH battery with a kanger aerotank V2. My problem is that the coils have somewhat died and its producing a really unsatisfying amount of vapour. Will certain coils have a better vapour production in the aerotank? Going to buy some new coils and eJuice tomorrow, Probably going to settle with some low nic/high vg juice to have a better experience. Does anyone else have any tips that will give me more vapour production?

Thanks
-George
Try subohm with a regulated mod like smok xpro80 or ipv4, kanger subtank or atlantis v2

I once had a nibble of a twinkie. My god please bless me as to never have that experience again. I'm more of a rich flavor type of guy myself that's probably why gentlemen potion is working so well for me. I have the coils lying around in a coil mess somewhere so il make sure to tell you if I rebuild :)

Ps. Marmite is a vile yeast extract that is a by-product of brewing, a well know slogan for it was "love it or hate it". I suggest that if the opportunity does arise for you to try some, go for it.

Yes, I'm quite keen to try anything best described by the adjective "vile."

for a tight budget, there's 2 things you need to know about vaping:

1: DIY eliquid;
you can make your own eliquid base with either pg alone, if you can get it, or use glycerine+10%water.
To that you can mix in purchased eliquid and stretch your dollars.

2: RDA.
Instead of buying replacement coils
(a) often those coils can be dryburned to clean, or cleaned otherwise for example by using denture cleaner; and rewicked with cotton.
(b) an rda is a cheap device where you can wrap your own coil, wick it with cotton, and vape away on a very durable device; you would need small needle bottle to be able to add liquid to the rda every few minutes or as necessary.
