I just got my new Vamo v5 starter kit on Wednesday, and it has worked great - until last night, I plugged it in and the light didnt come on. Do I switched outlets and it worked well.

today I have tried all outlets, all manners of battery situating, and no light at all (red or green). No charge. It came with sigelei brand batteries.

model number mtlc-0420-1000
input: 100-240v ac
50/60 hz
output: 4.2 DC 1000

if there is a way to open it up and fix wires or fuses, I am a very DIY, hands-on person and would rather fix something than buy a new one, at least when it comes to vaping.

MolliePOP (guessing Ms.?) that's a generic charger that's had a lot of reported issues (do a google search you'll see what I mean. Ranges from it just stops working to over-charging batteries). You could disassemble it to try and repair it, but why waste time on a questionable charger? Would be a better move to just get a xtar, efest, or nitecore charger at whatever price range you're willing to spend and not have to deal with all the potential headaches.

I guess this is the charger you are using

18650/17670 Battery Charger, View 18650 Battery Charger, KD Product Details from Shenzhen Lanhaite Electronics Limited Co. on Alibaba.com

Like the other poster said, don't bother to fix the charger, buy a nitecore. It's highly recommended. I personally own one and never had issue with it.

I have no used Sigelei's batteries but they make great products like Sigelei fu chai mech mod, or Sigelei 100 plus and Sigelei 150 box mods. With Vamo v5 that has the max amp draw of 5, I am pretty sure Sigelei batteries and even those "Fire" branded batteries are capable of handling it. So it must be the charger's issue.

Yes, I read that they are bad chargers - that's just what came with my new Vamo. I spent all my money on the new Vamo, tank etc, so I'm out of a mod for a while I guess. That's why I asked if there was a way to open and fix it.

I guess I'd rather have a junk charger than no charger. Oh well, thanks anyway for the advice, I just can't afford a new charger. I'm upset that I only got to use my Vamo for 3 days! :(

well, I got an extra charger "TrustFire" that I bought from my local B&M vapor shop when I bought my first mech mod back in October. It charged very well on my pair of efest and never had issue with it. But since I came to this forum and people said forgot everything with "Fire" so I bought the nitecore instead, lol.

So if you want it, shoot me a pm and I can send it to you.
