Hello ECF,

First let me say that I have signed the petition :)

Next let me say that I am looking to quit smoking but not sure if I care if I still vape after it's all said and done.

I purchased an overpriced 510 kit a week ago and it has helped me cut down on analogs profoundly. I don't take smoke breaks at work anymore and I don't need smokes in the car commute either.

I can continue to get along with the 510 kit for most activities without any problem *until* it comes to Friday night beer fests with my friends. I am coming from a 1/2 - 1 pack a day habit with analogs excluding the typical Friday night where I can kill two packs in 3 hours or so.

I'd like some advice on building a unit, I'm thinking an EGO 1000maH, that can withstand a few hours of chain vaping. Use would really be once a week. Something that I don't have to fiddle with a whole lot and can just sit back and chain vape.

Any advice on an all nite party PV that doesn't break the bank and is reasonably maintenance free? I'd hate to try and fill a carto while I've got too many beers in the belly...

So far I've really been enjoying my 510 with cartomizers but, for this rig, I'm open to suggestions.

I'd like not to break the bank so if I could spend $75 or less on the equipment it would be ideal.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
--James

Hello and welcome, I'd suggest getting the ego twist and a Vivi Nova or mini VN.

Yeah people seems to like those, personally I just bit the bullet and got a Provari, but I realize these arent for everyone, I use a Vivi Nova 3.5ml on it chain vape til yer hearts content, I just couldn't take a chance on being out and having some small tiny hitch force me back into ciggs so I got what I thought was bullet proof

Just make sure you get something that you are sure will get you through it all and KEEP you off the smokes, its worth more than the money it will cost you not to go back to smoking, invest in yourself! whatever you choose as a device just make sure it will be there when you are at your weakest!

2 packs of Marl Reds a day easily! to ZIP! on first day 29 years of them to be exact 12 days smoke free

Here's what I did if you're interested:

Hi - you're going to get tons of great suggestions (+1 on the Twist from me)...but for your 510 - I just got the coolest thing yesterday! I got one as a test to see if it would work on an old cig-a-like and it did quite well. It totally rocks on the Twist, but it looks silly. I threw it in my purse and it didn't leak at all! I use my cig-a-like when I go out sometimes and now I'm thinking about getting a 510 so I can get more of these little puppies: New! One more thing...You might not want 1000mAh Twist for when you go out. I have two of them, which I use at home, but they are a little too close to a lightsaber for when I go out. Here is a 1000mAh Twist next to a normal sized cat:

Wow, thanks for the great responses :)

So, it looks like the Vivi Nova is just a big tank and I would screw that right into the Ego or Provari of my choice?

Is this the right unit? Vivi Nova Tank System

No other parts required except maybe some replacement atomizers and the actual battery I want?

If I go Ego, do I need to make sure and get a T model? Those Provari units look very nice but they appear well out of my price range so I'll probably go with an Ego of some type.

Looking at the size of that twist next to the cat, that might just be a little too big :D

Also, if I go with the Ego Twist can I just plug it in to any USB port to charge or do I need to buy one of the 500mah specialty chargers?

After some reading on the VV, I do like the twist and it looks to me like it's a smart battery with a built in charge controller so I thought I should just be able to plug it into my computer's high output USB and be good to go.

Thanks,

You'll want a ego charger. A genuine joye twist battery has no usb port on it.
My first kit I ordered a regular 1000mah ego battery, a 900mah twist, and later ordered a 1000mah twist.
The 1000mah regular battery is a good inch and a half shorter than the 1000mah twist.
The non twist battery also lasts twice as long at the same voltage. For a chain puffing session, I'd get a couple of the little 450ma vision mini ego batteries, no lightsaber look and with a low resistance single coil carto or clearo should give some good vapor!

That looks like a really viable and inexpensive setup to try, thanks! Might try that setup with a tank just so there is no carto hassle.

I know exactly what you're talking about. When I tried vaping 4 years ago I started on a 510 kit. It was good enough for everyday use and it kept me off the nasties BUT drinking was my kryptonite. Every time, a couple of drinks and the 510 just wasn't hitting hard enough. So I'd bum a couple off my friends here and there and after a while I just went back to it.

I started back on a Vision Spinner kit (900mah). The first time I tried it, I was amazed. It gave soooo much more of a kick than my old 510! So I knew my weakness here and the first day I got my Spinners, I went out. And drank. Alot. And you know what, when I felt it just wasn't kicking enough, I just upped the power and everything was fine. I've since graduated to a Vamo, which is much better than the Spinners even are. It's more consistent and everything tastes more...pure, if that makes sense. Spinner kits are relatively inexpensive, $22-30 for a batter and a few $$ for a charger. If you're serious though, and have the budget, I highly recommend the Vamo. You can get away with a set up for around $75-80.

Yep, you nailed it right there, exactly!

For that Vamo looks like this and a charger is all I need to get started (along with my existing 510 gear)?
