Help! Can't get any TH at all :(

Ok, will try the short version..
After being very disappointed for quite awhile with my setup with my E-Power and Echo-E PV's, I just recently broke down and got a tank and some LR cartomizers for it. After reading all the great things about them, I figured it would help get back to actually enjoying vaping again. Anyhow....
So from Madvaping I got the dual coil 510 tank and a couple of extra dual coil 1.25 ohm carts. Also got some flavor extract and both vg and pg to try to mix my own to get the flavor, vapor and TH I want.
So, good news, this thing is rocking, I love using the tank, been using it about a week now nonstop and chugging along nicely. Flavor is good, vapor is awesome, however...no damn TH at all! If it wasnt for the flavor and lots of vapor coming out on exhale, i wouldnt even know I was vaping!
My first mix was 20% flavor, 40% vg and 40% pg. When I found I was getting 0 throat hit at all, I mixed in more tg, and still nothing. Latest batch is 20% flavor and 80% PG only, still nothing!
What the heck? Both the epower and the echo-e are 3.7v (i am told).
I also ordered from CCV the 15 pack of LR 1.7 resurrectors. Same thing, no TH at all.
From reading, I thought these LR were supposed to give me great TH, so where am I wrong? The flavor should have nothing to do with it right? Pure PG should hit me hard I'd think?
Any advice guys/gals? I really need to get back to feeling like I am smoking, as I can feel my craving for analogs creeping up, and after all this time i'd hate to go back!

Usually, the higher the nic content the better the th. What level nic are you using? Another thing you can do is use a flavor like cinnamon to get extra throat hit. Hope that helps! Good luck-

Nic content will determine TH, but everything else will effect it.

VG will make it much less noticable, but so will certain flavors.
I tend to keep my Nic at 24% and I will have no TH on any brand of vanilla or carmel I've tried except for MadVapes Kick Azz Carmel.
Most fake fruit flavors have way more TH than I'd expect. Bluemistvaping: Strawberry, grape drink, tropical island all give a ton of TH at 24%Nic 80PG/20VG.
I dont' know the PG/VG Ratios in the MadVapes Line, but most of the ones I've tried have good TH. Mandarin Orange is insane TH, almost too much for me. I'm waiting for their Bubble Gum and Cotton Candy to steep a while, they came with a very "air-freshener" like taste.

I feel your pain! The lack of TH has always been an issue with me. I started vaping with pure VG and as soon as I tried a good PG/VG and got good TH I was hooked. Now I can't vape pure VG liquids, it makes me want an anolog.

Well thank you for bringing some a simple and frustrating answer lol. I was going thru my order to figure out what nic content I ended up getting and big suprise...there isn't any damn nic in any of it!! lol.
The extract doesnt have any, the PG doesn't and apparently I ordered the plain VG, not the VG with nic!!
Guess that explains a whole lot, grrr
So next question, is there anywhere to get JUST nic?? Or are these bottles of VG/PG just worthless now other than cutting down other juice?

You can get unflavored nic a lot of places like here http://www.ecigexpress.com/diy-supplies-nicotine-bases-c-43_49

The VG and PG are absolutely not worthless, you will still need them to mix your own. If you use a calculator like ejuice me up or something like that, you can put in the numbers for the mg of nic you start with, the mg of nic you want to end up with, and you still use the VG and PG and flavorings.

i should mention that it is cheaper to buy the higher mg unflavored nic juice and dilute it down to what you want with the VG/PG.

thanks, but i am having a hard time finding nicotine without any vg or pg at all. the link you provided only has them in vg or pg form or a mix of both. So is that my only option? That's why I was saying the straight vg/pg i have now is probably worthless, because i have to order the unflavored nic juice with the vg or pg or ratio of both already in it.

you are not going to get a straight nicotine that is not in a base of either PG or VG. So lets say you go to the link and buy the 48 or 60 mg nic in PG. That is still way too high to vape by itself with just flavor. You would want to use one of the calculators to see how much more vg or pg and flavors to mix in to get this to a reasonable nic level (say 18 mg or so).

thanks, yeah right as you sent this post i was just at the end of figuring this out with an ejuice calculator hehe.
So i guess the only remaining question is, should I get all PG, all VG or 50/50. Which would be most beneficial for mixing, since I have both straight VG and straight PG to mix with.
Was thinking probably 50/50, although then i could never really do an extreme mix heavier in pg or vg. guess i'll try that to start and adjust from there later on.
Thanks again, I almost ordered the 100mg unflavored from freedomsmoke, but after relooking at your link product appears to be much cheaper there, even if they only have 60mg.

Well i hope it works for you! I like ecigexpress because i have found them to be EXTREMELY fast on the shipping and good prices too. I have their nic in pg and i also have it in VG but i havent tried the 50/50 mix, so whatever suits you! Good luck!

Works great, thanks again dotma. got the 60mg vg/pg mix, added vg and flavor, and got a nice harsh experience. Now I can scale down on the TH

Now I need to figure out why the heck none of these cartomizers (resurrectors LR and the tank 510 LR's aren't working on my echo-e)
Guess I'll have to put up a new thread about that maybe

really enjoyed this thread, a lesson well learned. Always know where your Towel/Nic is. --hitchhikers guide reference. Back when I was smoking analogues someone gave me a pack of cigs they didnt like. After a few hours of smoking them I had a horrible head ache and was chain smoking them--found out the next day they were herbal cigs no nic at all!
