So started vaping years ago (some time around 2013) and then unfortunately started smoking analogs again for the last 4 years. Tried to go back to vaping again over the last 2 weeks but getting very discouraged with the dry hits, one min my juice tastes awesome and I am in love all over again, that only seems to last a few hits then back to dry hits again. I have tried using nautilus, nautilus 2 and nautilus x they all seem to be doing the same thing 1 or 2 great hits than a string of dry hits, which is making me just light up an analog. I have tried different coils, ohms, different wattage, etc and nothing is helping. I have primed them all properly. My juice is 25pg/75vg. I have combed through the forum trying to find out what my problem is or if there is something better that has hit the market but it takes hours to look through the site. I also have been using the eleaf istick for years and noticed they are getting harder to find. Can I please get some suggestions on tanks and mods. I like to keep it simple, I do not like to rebuild and I like mods with built in batteries. I am also a MTL vaper. I have looked into the zenith but do not want to waste anymore money to just get more dry hits.

Lower your vg that'll help any nautilus tank greatly. Those tanks aren't really made to handle higher than 65% vg imho, tried it once had the same results as you.
Thanks I was afraid you were going to say that. I found a juice that I really love but it only comes in that vg/pg ratio! Any suggestions on a tank that will like the higher vg juices?

Have you tried adding a couple of drops of distilled water to your tanks to thin your e-liquid? Worth a try?

For a true MTL tank, I'd recommend the Innokin Zenith. It's draw is a bit too restricted for me with the air setting wide open, but then I am more of a DTL vaper. It's higher ohm coils use a wattage range that you are probably more familiar with: 8 - 15 watts.

I also use the Geekvape Cerberus tank that comes with the Aegis Mini starter setup. It's a DTL subohm tank, but you could set the air control to almost closed for a decent MTL draw. The Cerberus's coils ask for a recommended wattage setting of 40 - 60 watts, but I vape at 20 - 25 watts with mine and the flavor and vapor production is still great.

Concerning the battery devices Kroma vs Aegis Mini. They are both 80 watt, 2200 mAh internal battery mods. Their form factors are a little different but they both perform the same. My preference would be the Aegis Mini as its form factor is a little more pocket-friendly and more comfortable in the hand, but that's me. It's also nearly unbreakable being waterproof and shockproof.

You could also mix and match the tanks with either mod. Just because they come in a starter "kit" does not mean you have to use them as a kit.

I concur with @Baditude. A few drops of distilled water in your juice will likely solve your problem without needing to buy new equipment.
If you still want a new tank anyway though, I’ve vaped the innokin zenith at 100%VG and had it work for me.

Thank you! I was looking at the zenith but wanted to get some input from the forum before I purchased something else. Do you think it will perform well with the higher vg's?

Bomb said his Zenith worked with 100% Vg e-liquid. I got the Zenith for my daughter for Christmas and put in a 30 pg / 70 vg Key Lime Pie (her request) in her tank so that it was up and ready for her to vape. I tried it and it seemed to vape fine, but Key Lime Pie would not be among my favs and the MTL draw was too restricted for my preference. But it should be great for her. We haven't exchanged gifts yet as we haven't been able to adjust the right weekends to be off work at the same time.

The zenith does perform well with higher VG ,although I will say that when I was not making my own eliquid and using very high VG (I had to, now I use a slightly less common base PEG400) a few drops of distilled water in my tank did not go amiss, improved flavor if anything and even when at 90 VG 10% PG, I was able to make the nautilus coils do fine at high VG. The key is VERY good priming, you can't chain vape (If you need to vape a bunch rotate setups I cannot emphasize that enough. You may need lower wattage. You may also need to continue inhaling a few seconds after you release the fire button. Prime, prime prime.

Do all this although why you are resistant to adding a few drops of distilled water to your tank I am clueless. It will not dilute flavor but it WILL significantly decrease temps in your tank and help with viscosity. TRY IT.

Noone said I was resistant to putting some water in it, not sure where you got that from. I tried it after the post earlier and it helped alot.

Thank you for all the info! I added some water and it is so much better! I can actually vape it now. Thank you for the battery info also will look into both of these!
