My VV Woodvil came today :) Also batteries he included and new ones from RTD :) BUT new question surfaced?? How do I charge batteries? I see they have a charger from RTD for the 18350's, is this what I need? I have 2 other chargers I use for 18650's,18490's & 14500's. Woodvil is nice, just thinking it favors my other Woodvil 18650 too much and was it a wise purchase?? Buyers remorse??

I have the Pila charger. I had to get extra spacers to charge the 18350's. I also bought one of the Xtar made for the 18350's. In fact I had two. They both had problems. I ended up making one good one with the cord from one and body from the other.

Most chargers will need spacers to charge the small batteries.

The VV Woodvil gives you what you get in the VV Grand. It is just housed in a beautiful WOOD body!

They make spacers for chargers that don't fit the 18350s, and/or different chargers. The chargers for 3.7 volt batteries work....they just don't all fit. I have several chargers that fit all my batteries. If yours won't fit, it'll need spacers....which you can get from RTD vapor, too.

If you're having buyer's remorse at all....sleep on it. But if you really don't want to keep this new woodvil, I'm sure you wouldn't have ANY trouble getting back what you paid for it. You know how desirable they are.

Thanks!! Good advise! I shined it up and it is awesome looking, much better than I anticipated but I am just so content with my Grand, Mini 2.1, Mini and Mini Woodvil and also the 18650 Woodvil. I seriously am thinking of selling the VV Woodvil with ERA and batteries .. Also have a Hornet w/trippy tip I am thinking of selling. Too much , is making this gals head spin. I need to simplify.

There are many Reonauts that would love to own a VV Woodvil. If you do plan on placing it in the classy's you might consider a heads up here in Reoville first! At least let them know a ad will be placed.

I do prefer RM2's over the Hornet or ERA. I have those mastered. Also was able to get ohm meter from MadVapes. They sent notice to email. So I am all set. The Trippy Tip is awesome too but just too pretty to use and I like my other plain janes too much. So like Jan said, I will sleep on it but will more than likely sell. Will post for all to see. I have never used classified to sell. Sold on ebay all the time. My Harley stuff sold like hotcakes. But can't sell mods on ebay :)

PS..Considering a trade option for 18490 Woodvil w/ RM2..no stacking batteries then

Feisty will stay out of VVW frenzy as she's quite content with her VVWs and will be even more so once they have their sex changes and can sport their brass RM2s.

About spacers..... Mudflap and a few others just used appropriate sized steel nuts (like bolt nuts) as spacers. If you are wanting store bought I highly recommend the little solid ones like RTD has. The screw on ones like for some of the X-tar chargers are a pain in the a s s. In my 6-bay X-tar I have two bays with the screw spacers to fit 49-50 mm batteries and four bays without so 65 mm batteries will fit or the short silver spacers for 49mm or blue 35mm spacers for the 18350 batteries can be dropped in quickly when needed. RTD had both. The blue ones look like a 14350 battery but are dummies. When I have a bunch of 18350 to do I can slip one silver short dummy in the bays with screw in spacers and even double up the short silver in full bays for 18350 as I only have two of the dummy blue spacers.

RTD has a 20% sale on Xtar, so I purchased the 6 bay and also a few spacers for my existing charger :)
Thanks
Debbie

Here's example of my preferred spacers with the doubled screw on spacers I keep in there all the time. Blue is dummy spacer.

VERY IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE USING 6 BAY XTAR CHARGER!!!!!!! BEEN THERE-DONE THAT.

THE REVERSE POLARITY PROTECTION (PUTTING BATTERY IN UPSIDE DOWN) IS SPRING DROPPING LIKE SPRING IN REO. BUT PAIRED BAYS BECOME UNUSABLE. So a 6-bay instantly becomes a 4-bay. Do that again and your 4-bay becomes a 2-bay. Like I said been there-done that. Made me really take care putting batteries in correct polarity.
