I'm using the itaste vv, my juices are 12-18 mg nic, and 50/50 levels. I seem to be getting incredibly dry mouth! Every single time I inhale, my entire mouth becomes a freakishly dry desert. The only thing I changed recently was to go to the 50/50 level, as I was getting irritation from higher PG juices ( I'm at 8 weeks in). I'm drinking like crazy, water and coffee, and even bought Biotene, a dry mouth rinse.
What really makes this annoying is that I lose all sense of taste at the same time. And I've tried just about every suggested remedy for that too. Frustrating to the max...I have some very yummy juices and can barely taste them. :(

Wonder if you are getting a case of "vapers mouth"? Everything either has no taste or tastes lousy and it feels like an army has done a 30 mile march on your tongue.
May help to cut back or stop for a few days. Frequent brushing of the teeth and tongue can help. Lemon juice or smelling coffee grounds might also help. I'm sure others will chime in with their help too.....

Could it be seasonal? I noticed as the weather changes down here I'm getting dry mouth more often. I also have a bad habit of clenching my jaw and that dries me out as well. What has been helping me was drinking things with strong flavor rather than my regular water water water. Water hydrates but it doesn't stimulate the mouth to produce saliva as well. I've taken to making sure to drink a strong flavored juice (I love ocean spray sparkling juices), or tea (lemon zinger by celestial seasonings) and keeping sour candies near by (Ice Breakers sour are delish).

I like this idea. I have a glass of Snapple Diet Iced Tea with lemon at dinnertime, and I find my mouth almost puckering in anticipation.
I'll look for something else tasty that I can sip during the day, of course calorie-free, as I'm seriously attempting to lose weight.
Oh, I've also tried the coffee grounds, taken a sip of lemon juice, eaten olives. Like I saide, I've tried just about any remedy I have seen suggested anywhere. I don't think it's weather or climate because I don't spend much time outdoors, and we have central.

Biotene could help. I'm not sure I would want to use it all the time as it could get expensive, but it's a good temporary solution. I've used it when I was taking meds that just flat out took every single drop of moisture from my mouth - it works well.

You should be able to get some at your local pharmacy OTC.

Great idea! Guess you didn't see my original post...I'm doing it.

are you vaping on the same juice constantly? i like to switch up my juices every 2-3 days because any longer and i start to not taste whatever flavor im vaping on. idk if that will help with the dry mouth but maybe with the flavor part.
Not at all! I switch around all the time, because I have the vape tongue at the same time.

I was never a big water drinker, just coffee all day long, so I experienced a lot of cotton mouth when I started. I found that drinking flavored seltzer (Seagrams) was something that helped. I also would just squeeze some lemon in ice water. Then I got a sodastream which opened up more possibilities. That dry mouth will get better, but I struggled with it for 6 months or so.

Thanks, Grimwald, I think that is the way to go. I've been switching between coffee and water, but I'll mix it up with different sodas, juice, and the iced tea. I also got my Stratomyst juices today, which helped a lot. Very intense.

If you drink caffeinated drinks or alcohol (don't mean to assume) avoid it as it aggravates dry mouth as well as carbonated drinks. Some people swear by humidifiers to help deal with dry mouth, especially at night when they go to bed. An alternative to constantly sipping your beverage of choice is to chew sugar free gum or suck on sugar free hard candies, with the candies though watch how many you consume they can have some uncomfortable side effects but that varies person to person. I am on so many medications and 99% cause dry mouth, it can be rough at times but you eventually figure out what works for you.

Sorry Penny, I did read your post, I missed where you said you'd tried Biotene.

Thinking out loud here, and down the same line as the seltzer, maybe tonic water with lemon or something. I dunno, I mean if you have tried a medication that is specifically designed to relieve the symptoms of dry mouth with little or no effect, it seems that all these suggestions for different drinks will not work either.

If you figure it out, please post back and let us know. Wish you good luck.

I am still fighting vaper's mouth after 34 days in. It drives me crazy. At this time, I only have one flavor that I can taste most of the day. I can take a few vapes of my other flavors and suddenly, the flavor is gone.

For those who have had this problem, what seems to be the flavors that you can taste the best? The one I use is an RY4 juice.

It's so frustrating! For me also, the flavors come and go. When the deadness comes, whatever I have in my magic wand just tastes like salty wet cardboard. I recently tried some very sweet Cappuccino-ish flavors, and although I could taste them, some ingredient in there - the one that gives that "fatty" feeling - also stayed with me and would not go away. Even found myself trying to clear out my throat in the middle of the night --yuchhh!
I totally know what you meant, Sally, about the side effects of the sugarless mints...that's the sugar alcohols, and that is what we in the low carb world call "enforced portion control!"
In The Shade: I have some Tonic water with Twist of Lime here, too.

Wow Grim. That's me to a tee. (coffee all day). Now I'm drinking other liquids throughout the day. Even <gasp> water. (When did they invent that stuff?)
