Hi everyone,

Ok, I started vaping 4 months ago and went from 35 analogues a day down to one a day for the first month while vaping. Then I stopped smoking completely for 3 months and was purely vaping and loving it. Then I had back to back dramas and being the stressball I am, I started smoking analogues again as well as vaping. Has anyone else had this happen?

I'm really disappointed in myself especially considering how much money I have spent on equipment and juice, not to mention the fact that I want to get my fitness level up. Any advice?

Cheers

Akasha

It's easy. Just fall BACK on the wagon and get the dang things out of your life. Avoid stores where you can purchase them, don't hang out with smokers, EVADE at first until you get your bearings again.

Reassess your equipment, juice strength, flavors etc. and assure you are happy with what you got and what you are doing.
To relieve stress take time out every day for yourself, be it for meditation, playing video games, having a glass of wine or whatever moves you.

Great advice from the previous posters!!!
Not sure what else I can add except maybe buy yourself a couple of NEW FLAVORS to get excited about. And maybe try a higher nic level for now. Carry your PV with you at all times and when you think about an analog then tell yourself you will vape for 10 minutes before lighting one. During that time period you may find you lost your craving for the cig. All my best wishes for your success!

Sometimes the smallest things make a world of difference. I have some DIY juice that hasn't been cuttin it lately and the same juice unflavored is what I have been needing that small difference in nic of not having any flavoring in it made all the difference in the world.

Sent from my truck using 3 toasters a broken microwave and 6 rubber bands McGyver style......Chuck Norris aint got crap on me

Me too, when I first started vaping I totally quit analogs for over 6 months. After a while, the routine of mixing juices, filling cartos, be sure to be prepared for the day became very time consuming and tedious. So I quit and went back to smoking. Just came back 6 months later to see what new products were out and found this new vivi nova tank. Ease of use and good flavor and so now I'm back to vaping and off analogs. We'll see how long it lasts. But I like Saw Tooth's suggestion of vaping for 10 mins before lighting one up.

Easy to understand how it can happen. The vaping takes a little more work than just buying a pack of smokes. Plus I always knew what to expect with cigs, pretty much the same everytime, unless the store was out my brand. Where vaping seems to takes a bit more effort (and money) to find a sweet spot. But if ur mind is right, I know you can do it again. Keep at it!

I happened to me a couple of times. Cigarettes are EASY, and vaping can be tricky. Cigarettes also contain whole tobacco alkaloids that do tend to help you when you're stressed.

What worked for me was getting a bottom feeder mod. It's easier than smoking because you just deal with it once a day to switch the battery, and you're set.

They also make juice with whole tobacco alkaloids that might help. Just have fun with it. Every cigarette you avoid is a victory. Don't beat yourself up over a relapse. It happens to a lot of people. You'll quit again. Good luck!!!

Just remember when your about to lite up, say to yourself, UG it SMELLS SO BAD, My cloths are going to stink, what will others think? At least that has stopped me, as well as, I know it tastes horrible. I used to LOVE analogues now..when I see that one in my old tray, i look at it and say to myself, you taste HORRIBLE!

It's easy to fall off the wagon. This is only my 12th day vaping. I spent way more money than I had wanted to. I haven't gotton off the analogs as of yet but I do notice that a carton lasts a lot longer than it use to. I was going through 2 cartons a week and sometimes more. I tried all the stuff to quit. (I have COPD so my lungs are pretty much shot.) So far vaping has gotten me farther than any other method I've tried. Don't stress about it. What I'm doing now is if I want an analog I smoke it. If I'm just bored I grab my pv and sit back and enjoy the flavors. You'll get back on track. I still believe the people in this forum have been more support to me than anyone else including my own family.

Thanks guys, it's good to know others have been there. I kinda felt like a failure having picked up the analogues again, you know, that wonderful feeling you get after you have declared "I will NEVER smoke again" ..... And then you're back to a pack a day. Might up the nic level and try get back on track :)

Someone told me once, "you're never a failure until you quit trying". Don't ever feel like a failure by slipping up and going back to analogs. There is always tomorrow. Or the next day, or the day after that, etc.
