I didn't see a 7.3.9. I have 7.2.9 on my primary PC (4600) and haven't had any problems with it and it's older than the 9100. Do you have a link to 7.3.9 just in case I don't get so disgusted and give up?

If there is I can't find it. One of the above posts asked if you rebooted after you uninstalled 7.3.9. Must have been a typo.

Yes in my playing around 7.3.6 would not play well with windows xp. I would not recommend it. And like I said before with 7.3.6 even exiting the program and after trying to uninstall it was still running in my taskmanager and I had to kill it before I could get 7.2.9 back on there...

Well there are a lot of versions for XP. Which should I try?

I am having no problems with 7.2.9 other than the pc is too slow. If you cant get that one running I would bet you still have a leftover part of the other install still on there or possibly even still running. Though the leftover running thread isnt folding it will prevent you from being able to properly install the others and might even be the cause of your not being able to open the control.

If there is anything still running it isn't showing in taskmanager. :( It must be hiding.

Its because you have it set for a uniprocessor and you either have a dual core processor or a single core with hyperthreading which acts like a dual core. The fah slot needs to be set up as SMP. It might just be simplest at this point to reinstall it. Shut down the client and exit the program. Then open taskmanager and click the Processes tab at the top and click 'show processes from all users' at the bottom if its not already checked. Make sure you do not have anything that says fah in the list. There can be FAHClient.exe, FAHControl.exe, FAHCoreWrapper.exe and or FAHCore_xxx.exe. If you had a gpu slot there could be more than that even but I dont think you have gpu set up. You shouldnt need to uninstall just rerun the install program and use the express setting. Make sure on the screen where you put in your passkey and such that the box at the bottom says SMP or SMP & GPU either will work. If you have a video card in there (and I think you do since you had an extra monitor connector on the back that was not hooked up and said the monitor was connected to the other connector) then you want the SMP & GPU setting and if your card is supported it will detect it and use that to fold with also. I think that covers it :)

Ok, I'll change it from uni to smp tomorrow. I've already disconnected it from my monitor, keyboard, mouse, network cable and reconnected everything back up to my primary PC. I put FAH in the startup on the other PC and plugged in the short ethernet cable to it and it's now running without a monitor or keyboard. I'll check it in the morning to see if it's made any progress and then reinstall AGAIN. You might be right about it having dual core because when I was poking around in system info I found a cpu0 and cpu1. That would be cool if I didn't have to run uni. :) And no, it doesn't like my graphics card so no gpu. :(
