Where do you set the CPU/GPU usage? I don't see that option. I'm running 100% on everything.

It seems I have gotten big Jobs on both computers I'm running on... I have no four hour work units! Been a day and a half on my Mac Mini, though that's less than an hour away from wrapping up, and the one I got on my Macbook has a 17 day due date! Nothing as epic as February though! Man! talk about taking one for the team!

You kids and your small work units! YOu got it so easy! You just wait though... when these things wrap up on my machines.. My hind quarters are gonna rocket to the top of the leader board! Muwhahaha!!!!

Still need to get that old laptop up and running...

Hey quick question... how do I get more than one work unit at a time?

You have to switch to an advanced view, and you can add more slots in the configuration, depending on how much your rig can handle.

My projects are pretty big, but it's not like we're keeping score. At this rate though they're going to rename Protein G to Protein Orobas.

It's my understanding that you can't get more than one wu at a time. Plus if you had 2 wus going on a machine then they both would take longer to finish than if you do 1 at a time.

You have to go into an advanced view first, and you can set the CPU usage in config - advanced tab, it's a little slider midway down. I haven't yet determined how to adjust GPU usage, which is why I have to cut it off because it kills everything else.

I've had 2 WUs running since I started.....it's automatic.....analyzes the system maybe? One for each processor? IDK

I have a dual core but I'm only folding one wu but my smp shows 4.

To get to the GPU put your fahControl in expert mode > Configure > Slots > Then hilite your slot you are using > Click on edit.

Wow! I was wrong - my larger project isn't to multiply how fast fold@home x4 (without taxing additionally on hardware) but x100! That would make these projects "smoke" in processing time

Increase the page size of the program. There is a drop down menu on the top right side of the page.

My deadline is 5 days out! - well, at 100% CPU, looks like I'm doing about 1% per hour so it should be just about right. Guess I'll just have to be patient for my title. Congrats to those who got the 4-8hr projects

All I really know is that the Macs I have folded on use that rather than the cpu. I don't know if Windows have that or not. I know my old Dell XPS did not.

I misread the project - I thought it was to enable the fold@home software to run 4 times as fast as it currently runs....but it's not 4 times faster but 100 times faster if this is successful. Your 25 day project would be what? a couple of hours?
