To get bonus points you need to apply for a passkey:

Folding@home - FAQ-passkey

After you apply for one they will email you a code. You then pause your fah and enter the passkey in your Identity area of your config. After you have completed 10 work units, you will start getting the bonus points.

You will NOT need a new passkey for each WU. And you can use the same passkey on each computer you are folding with.

6 more units to go before my passkey kicks in! :D

GPU memtest error  This is what's happened with the other packet....and I haven't a clue....

What causes "GPU_MEMTEST_ERROR"?

seems to be common.

Do not allow the GPU to run as a service and your fixed . how to change that dunno yet im looking lol they reccomend adding it to the start folder so when you boot up it auto starts. and fixed

lol im digging - do you have powersave/sleep turned on for your monitor? it also causes this error.

[This post was marked as helpful]
mdrun_gpu returned 59
[17:20:49] GPU memtest failure
[17:20:49] [17:20:49] Folding@home Core Shutdown: GPU_MEMTEST_ERROR
[17:20:53] CoreStatus = 7C

sleep issue? Nvidia driver 295.73
(make sure powersave in the OS for the monitor is off

I'm actually considering adding a team ECF folding forum under events. It really doesn't belong here in general discussion

Yup you are running on all 6 cores, - 1 is just a default to run on as much as it can. You can lower the number if you want to use less cores, I have 4 but am only running on 2

It does start up on boot. What doesn't make sense though is that it was working before...

on the folding forums as well as places like overclockers dotcom they are experiencing the same things so not just you, some people have it clear right up while others cant figure it out. i really cant tell you more then the info im finding unless i was sitting there looking at it.

you can always post on the folding forum and see if they can give you ideas.

Just a reminder that if you are going to leave your laptop running 24/7 it is best to be plugged in with the battery removed.

Why do you say to remove the battery?

I ran FAH on my MBP since mid-2008 to 11/2012 24/7 just with it plugged in with no problems with the MBP. Now I have Boinc running on it 24/7 for RAH and WCG. Only thing I did was get a cooling pad to keep it on.
