Why do you say to remove the battery?

I ran FAH on my MBP since mid-2008 to 11/2012 24/7 just with it plugged in with no problems with the MBP. Now I have Boinc running on it 24/7 for RAH and WCG. Only thing I did was get a cooling pad to keep it on.

Some laptops don't isolate the battery when it is fully charged and plugged in, so the battery is constantly cycling.
Obviously yours does not have that problem or you would have gone through a dozen batteries by now.

Once you have successfully folded one unit for Team ECF you can request the Team ECF title:

Please do not submit the form unless you have properly completed one work unit and have received points for completion. If your contributions page has not updated to show a completed work unit with points I'll skip your request and move on to the next and you'll have to request again after you have folded a unit and received credit.

Making multiple requests will not speed up your title, they only slow down the process for others waiting to get their title.

As of 2012-12-07 you must also have received points for your contribution. Zero point work units are failures and do not count for the purpose of earning a Team ECF title.

I wasn't aware of that. It's good to know. My MBP is the only laptop I've ever had.

To the moderator: Thrasher? I just finished the first work unit for ECF team and sent the form in. This just a note to say I used to fold for another team around 3 years ago, so don't be surprised if that info shows from that team first. under the config button shold be a tab for slots,
go in there and change the smp to 2 or 4 cpu. and the other two should start

It appears as if I cant change the smp on a slot that is working. I can only add slots with the # of smp I choose. I went in and tried and all it did was add 2 additional slots. One says running and 1 says ready.

So is this why the 2 slots under GPU just say ready for days now and aren't doing anything? Both my cards are ATI HD 6500's...

This is where I need some advice. I now have 4 slots. I removed 1 when I realized I was adding not editing. I just removed 1 of the new ones that wasn't doing anything yet.

getting rid of slots with work waiting is nothing to worry about, it just tells the server your not doing them now and adds them back into the main que for someone else.

I wouldn't of thought it possible that after 10+ months of at least a couple hrs a day that I have been on this forum, there is a supplier assoc. w that kind of post count that I've never run across. Full time job, with lots of OT? Thats an amazing amount of posts.

Currently pulling 34,000+ PPD on my 2 systems

Yeah it is a bit of a pain in the .... with the older Linux command line client. Actually I should probably post over at the f@h forum and get someone from the team to help me out because somewhere I have something misconfiged. I'm only averaging 200ish points per unit and they all have been turned in early. granted a bunch of them are uniprocessor but I did change two of my Linux boxes to smp but still haven't seen any bonus points.
