Beeb, don't feel bad! I have 328 wu's completed and still haven't even broken 70k points...#53 on the team list :( Dusty is the only team member who has completed more wu's, but mine are just getting baby points.

I may just hang it up on my laptop. I don't see 70ppd being worth the electricity to run it 24/7

I've tried the version 5.03 on a P4 and I get 70ppd. I can't use my passkey with it. It works with frames.

Does this sound familiar? I don't think the older versions are as efficient and will never kick out the points they should.

NOW! On with the Show. Go, Team, Go! and all that. I don't know what percentage of the Total ECF members are folding but I know it is only a fraction, so far. Hopefully this will continue to Snowball. As exciting as it is to see people compete to be Number One, I'll honestly be more excited to see Number Two Hundred, Five Hundred..... and who knows!!

I am Relaxing and Enjoying!

Yeah Iv'e lost a few WU's the last few days due to bad cores, blue screens, etc.

Not sure what they are doing lately but it's cost me that 1 million mark for 2 days now, lol :)

They see I'm close and want to shut me down!

Should be within 24h now as they are chugging away again happily. Lets hope they continue!

Edit: I unfortunately had to delete this post due to the fact the information was not correct. I posted a genuine certificate link from the folding@home site that indicated Ictinike had reached the one million milestone.

1,000,000 with incorrect date

I do not know what happened with the folding@home server information, but the midnight upload indicated this was not true. I then reviewed my previous post and noticed the certificate date was incorrect on their servers and link?

990,000 with correct date

I sincerely apologize to Ictinike and this forum for any inconvenience concerning the posting of incorrect information.

Soon, your million effort will be celebrated.

I am not worried about getting number one with the ECF group, starting so far behind I likely will never catch up. Would rather have the tag added to my name like other's have.

That's a great attitude to have for a long and personally rewarding folding experience. I've known a guy on my other team who has been at it since '03 and has never had the fastest nor most efficient builds BUT he has always been extremely consistent and now has over 26 mil points, over 50,000 units and a top 1500 individual ranking though those things don't matter much to him as it's always been about the cause.....:toast:

I saw on the Overclocking stats page that they've been working on some of the servers, maybe that's why Ikky

Not sure either? ... I lost 4 WU's yesterday and on today's 6pm upload I recorded 2 WU's for a whopping 31 points?! LOL! Ahh well, at least my house is warm ...

Lost a few WU's and things were, well weird at Stanford for some reason as shown earlier, but it's official now and the proper date.

I'm hoping this will resolve on it's own - I noticed that I had a WU due to complete but had lost my internet connection. I paused the WUs - and reconnected to the internet......yet now my WU is not going anywhere

I'm confused.....I'm assuming that IP address is me at port 80....is it because another WU started already? And, if so, will they both end up being sent when the new WU is complete?

BeeBoop,

No that IP address and port assignment (80 is standard web traffic port) is of the Standford site your trying to send the WU results back to.

Essentially they have a bank of machines that hand out WU's for us to work on and they are tracked by each system. One day you might get a WU assigned from 1 machine and the next another machine. Each machine that issues the WU tracks their results and the WU itself has the IP of the server that assigned it.

The error I see is the server that assigned it to you is not working nor/as well the port is allowing you to send. Essentially your trying to connect to send back results but the remote Stanford site is refusing it. Don't worry though they could be having issues with that machine/etc and most likely it will return later today or within a few days and those results will get counted. Only a few instances where they lost the entire assignment server have people lost those WU points since it simply doesn't come back however since it's only an IP address and a standard port they can replace the entire machine, load and configure their side of the folding project and have an entirely new system with the same IP but may take a bit.

These will continue to 'queue up' and try to send until they rectify the problem but I'm sure there has to be some catch-all that will remove them after a particular amount of time and or failed attempts. I would continue folding new WU's from other assignment servers and let these try to send. I'll also see if they have any stats/update on any servers that are down and their status and post back.

[Edit] I also see it trying various ports in the logs, such as 8080 which is another moniker and widely used HTTP port (standard web traffic) so don't sweat that it's just trying alternate ports to get the results to the server but I"m near certain that IP is that of the Stanford site(s)

Cheers,
~Icky
