Sucks that you're sick. Had a bit of that stuff early in December. Time and chicken soup will heal all!

As for the 580, what did you expect it to do? You traded up for a bigger, better, newer model..probably broke it's hard-core processing heart. Shattered it to a billion pixels..

has anyone fold with crossfire or sli configuration? it seems like my hd6870 in CF driver keep on locking up. its is getting kinda hard to even surf the web.

I'm using a pair of 560 ti's in SLI that work great folding, but I have to take the overclock off.

thanks for the reply maybe that is why my driver keep failing! ill pause them and reset to stock setting and see what happens

Rav, I have to pause my GPU slot to be able to surf and use my computer. You can just pause it by highlighting the GPU slot on the FaH client page, right click, and a drop down will appear with several choices

So for the past 2 days every time I get on my computer my client is just flashing “updating” and there are no WU displayed but my computer is still being ran at max. . . In the task manager I can see the cores running. When I closed the client the cores kept running... I restarted the computer and everything started up and ran fine. I came back a few hours later and the same thing, no WU's but my cpu and gpu's being ran maxed out like they normally are. Anyone here have any sort of idea? I haven't changed anything on this computer (software or hardware) since I started folding weeks ago so I have no idea what is going on. I'm not getting any temp warnings and my computer is not rebooting on its own so I'm at a loss. I would like to continue to keep folding but, at this point in time it seems fruitless.

And when I say its flashing updating I am referring to where it says “Client: local updating Inactive” at the top.

Oh and each time I restart the client it starts all new WU rather than finishing the previous ones. . .

I deleted all the files in my work folder. Its the only idea that I have. Perhaps something was getting hung up as it kept showing 4 WU's. 3 of them would be running normal while the 4th one that showed up a few days ago just sat there saying ready. Guess we shall see in the morning.
