To be honest... it would be more cost effective and a better experience for you if you went with a rebuild. Just my personal opinion though.

It WILL happen! lol... I just have far too many hobbies. vaping, my Wrangler, Firearms (spare the criticism please) so all in all it's a pain in the neck to do it all at once. It will be up and running by the beginning of next month for sure.
I'm not a techy geek. What do you mean by a rebuild....exactly.

Thanks Loft, I'll wait to change it. I'm jealous...the only thing better than vape mail is geek mail!! I miss not being able to rebuild every couple of years!! MMOs used to keep us on top of our rigs, but as you can see by my specs, it's been about 5 or 6 years since the last rebuild. Being un (and under) employed sux!

If it makes you feel better my XP box that I tossed together rocks in on average 80 to about 140 pts a day lol
ETA: pieced together from parts getting thrown out at work....although I think the PSU finally is about to die

LOL! My video card did that to me.. it's a constant WHINE now.

The PC in question has $0 into it. It is a 100% trash built machine.
My machine is quiet as a mouse and I don't notice anything being any slower than it was before I started folding and it's running at 100% 24/7.
Thats a good thing. My main PCs are the same. Just a faint whisper of the 220mm Fans
I'm kinda bummed. Lately I've only been averaging 30k PPD... with 8 threads for SMP and my GPU running. 100%.
Side note... one of the vaping vendors I'm close with has decided to help me out and sent me half the cost of the motherboard. So now, I only need ~$330 to build the monster. Nothing to sell but we will see how the cards fall, it may be sooner than I anticipated.
