Sometimes you just gotta maximize time spent anyway possible. Waterproof iPhone case does the trick.

Nach my 6gb system has never gone under using 2gb on win 7. For the next pc I want a solid state drive and at least 8 gb

Oh  I thought you found a new monitor program like HFM that works better.

Are you saying you can't put down your mod longer enough to take a shower?

I can but thinking long term like swimming it would be great. I went swimming with an unprotected droid for 10 minutes before I noticed it. Dead. I swim with my iPhone with no problem with the lifeproof case. It's a matter of forgetting to check my pockets. I'm not a fan of losing $150 for a swim

Metal REOs are water proof. :)

New problem. I thought I had a new wu started yesterday after that connecting issue but now I have a log full of this:

error exception:boost:filesystem:exists: insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service \work\01\uninfo_01.dat

I got a insufficient error msg trying to delete the work folder. My PC wasn't responding or was responding very slow when I clicked on something. I couldn't disconnect so I had to power off. :censored:

Does anybody know what my PC is insufficient of? I have more RAM on the remote PC than on my primary so it can't be that.

tm you got me this time. Could be a ram problem. Or xp programs can be bad about memory leaks sometimes. Some googleing points me to prolly mem leak in a anti virus program perhaps or if the drive was full or possibly the pagefile was corrupted somehow. I would give it a long night on the memtest86 just for grins and also you might check the event logs and see if something was recorded there...

Terry you could have a memory stick failing, or possibly too many processes running in the background.

Possibly a memory board but there's nothing else running on that PC other than the OS. This is the second time this has happened so I need to find out what that message means. I lost the wu I was working on the first time but it had just started so no big deal. The new one is still running. I wonder if they sent too big of a wu...would that cause that error? It was a really big one. The one I'm running now is smaller.

Can I run memtest86 while F@H is running?

I have no anti-virus on that PC and the drive is 3/4 empty. I increased the pagefile the other day...remember. Could that cause this problem?

Event viewer hasn't recorded anything for "system" since 4/2 but today on "Applications" it show an error that said that F@Hcontrol.exe hung. I already knew that.

No you cant run anything with memtest - unless there is now a windows version that I dont know about (but i doubt it)... As far as I know memtest has to be ran just from a boot disk so there isnt anything else in memory to interfere with it testing... And the empty drive and pagefile sound good too so I'm not sure. And I wouldnt think you could get a wu that was actually "big" enough to crash the system but perhaps somehow you got one that just didnt like the hardware you have. I know you can add extra options to fah that allow you to get work units that are not as tested and can be unstable but I dont think you would get any of those with the default settings.......

Yeah, I don't like the hardware I have either. :(

I forgot that memtest is on a boot disk. Now what did I do with that? Well it will have to wait until this wu is finished to run it, that is if it finishes without hanging my system again.

You can pause the unit and run memtest. I suggest downloading the most recent version from Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
